No they dont. If they woud be able to swap into best covenant choice anytime than yes you would see everyone javing exact same covenant in exact same type of content but this is not true becouse there is friction implemented.
And yet in BFA for example, players could min-max on different content a lot easier, the only thing needed was the gear with the right traits.
But guess what, the issue was solved with getting multiple gear items.
Now we can’t get “multiple covenants” since we need 1 lockout to do both quests for switching.
Yes they would, because players like to experiment. You wouldn’t know that though, you don’t even need to use half your toolkit for the content that you do.
If you’re actually a pro, can you tell me the difference between using in raiding Ashen Verdict versus Divine Toll? Which one is better, when is it better? Does it matter if someone changes to Ashen Verdict versus Divine Toll?
This “friction” that you speak of is actually just limiting players, there is no good in limiting players like this.
It makes the game more boring, and you know what that does? It leads to them leaving the game.
You know there were multiple ranks to flying right?
The base rank was like 200 or 270 gold…
No you couldnt becouse you couldnt reach those zones without flying.
Yeah and most of them had like 3-4 daily Q. No playres had no gold for respecing back in past. You completly ignore all other costly stuff likem, enchants, consumables, crafting, etc… You know respecing wasnt only thing what cost gold.
You are right you totaly can play game without swaping once. But thats the point. You played game with build you chose to have. You didnt swap into optimal pvp frost build than back to optimal pve frost build on boss 2 becouse there was expensive friction.
No, you can’t. So you min/max within the restrictions of the system. Again, the consequences for not being within the 95th percentile of performance on all content at all times is non-existent.
So it’s less that you’re getting punished for not having the ideal Covenant for one type of content and more that you’re being rewarded for having the ideal Covenant for another type of content.
If you farm mats and use it for yourself you still lossing gold becouse you are not selling it on AH. And if you had alt you were definitly not average player.
That’s what you think, the 95th percentile of performance is false.
The numbers aren’t 5% between covenants, it’s more like 30% in some cases.
This “punishment” and “reward” is a bad system because it prohibits fairness of play and makes the game even more unbalanced.
But you won’t get this sense of unbalanced on low level content, because there it literally doesn’t matter, you could go on without any covenant and get through dailies and some low level m+ or lfr/normal raiding.
Because i never PVP’ed i was on a “Normal” server in classic and TBC which was a PVE server you are talking nonsense about me stop making up lies to fit your narrative.
I am not lieing. Restriction creates friction and force players stay in their build of choice as cost for respecing isnt sustainable for long period of time. This isnt lie. This is literaly how this desing works.
You accused me of not doing the best build which is a lie and assumed i did pvp which is a lie please stop talking lies about me you assume far to much .
