I’d love to know how Hunter traps work.
This is my current information:
Freeze traps takes a global cooldown to use
It has a delay before it’s activated, depending on how long it takes for it to fly out to the targeted location
If a pet attacks you, freeze trap breaks, or just a DoT
Freeze trap is actually a visible particle, i.e. you can actually see the trap when it flies out and where it lands.
Freeze trap is affected by 3D dimensions, i.e. if freeze trap is placed under a bridge, you don’t get trapped if you walk on that bridge because the trap is under it.
So why do these criterias not apply to 100% of the cases?
How come a pet or a DoT can still tick on a player if he’s frozen?
How come a player can be so bad that he throws a Freeze trap under a bridge, but I get frozen on top of it?
How come only the first freeze trap actually freezes the target after it has landed and all future freeze traps freeze the player instantly, basically turning it into an in-combat sap?
Hunters can’t be this bugged, can they?
Do not moan about Hunters unless you play one… they are BY FAR the hardest class to play well, despite the huntard stereotype. Maybe BM might be forgiving but the other two specs are anything but.
btw i hate Freezing Traps too… sometimes they act random!
Whaaz can eat the traps even WHILE MIDAIR (there are clips of him playng monk using the roll and get freez while trasp is mid-air, wtf)
i cant eat traps even if my healer stand still and i’m on top of it like 3 sec before the traps land, cuz at this rating its always obv when huntards go for the trap combo -_-
I’ve had this before. I was always curious about how these traps worked, since I didn’t expect to get frozen when the trap was still bouncing along the ground towards me.
i just wanna know how you have managed to gather all the information required to definitively prove that hunters are, indeed, the most difficult class to play by far
Do you genuinly believe WW is a hard spec it’s current iteration, or is that because you play it ? Don’t answer with something along the lines of “AsSa RoGuE tAlKiNg OMEGALUL”, I’m aware Assa is miles better than old Rogue specs like all specs are these days really, I’m just curious about what you deem hard in current WW, so lets keep the focus on WW.

Did you think I was bashing hunters cuz I don’t see any type of bashing in the thread, just simple questions because I would like to understand exactly how Hunters work in pvp considering my experience is different every time. And since you’re a whiny hunter you must have all the answers so shoot.
Hunters have always had 100k bugs. Do you think its a coincidence that the class with most bugs for upcoming Classic is hunter? Always have been, always will be. That pet is a bugged disgrace, our traps have always been bugged disgrace.
And dont get me started on disengage-disconnect. At least they removed “Resist”, i remember the days when traps got RESIST RESIST RESIST.

They removed favourite ranged spec and made it into an abomination of melee. They took our nice WoD-MM and fuc-ked it over for legion only to fuc-k it over more for BfA.
So when you think about stuff like this, mr OP… “why does hunter stuff work like this?”… the short answer is it doesnt and Blizz doesnt give a fu-ck.
ANYONE REMEMBER THE LEGION STICKY GRENADE? A whole expansion where they left a broken talent just cuz fu-ck it.
funnily enough, it’s bugged so it doesn’t parry 100% of the attacks and abilities it’s supposed to parry and it’s pretty easily countered, jump away when it’s cast or simply use one of those bugged freeze traps that freeze the player before the actual spell effect flies out, that usually does the trick
