I think it’s very telling that this person’s favorite thing about 9.2 is the fact that some people don’t like it. They celebrate the fact that some people dislike their creation, rather than those who like it.
Is this how they design the game? Is this what timegating is all about, solely to gloat about those who don’t like it and complain? Is this why there are no deterministic sockets in 9.2 so people who want to get BIS will be pissed? Man, this company is just the worst. How could it fall so much in just 4 years since Legion?
I tend to agree, and I have no problem with the incubus. It’s just the toxic attitude where Blizzard employees glee at negative reacions. This is not good for the health of the game. And not good for PR either.
You need to remember that this guy is responsible for UI development. Where is the UI development in WoW?
Why do ALL MMORPGs today allow you to freely move the UI while WoW is lagging behind? It would literally take 2 lines of code to allow players to un-anchor the bars and move them around before locking them in place again. They already let you do this with the frames. It’s not a big deal. Where is the development there?
I expect this guy to write essays and twitlongers about his passion for User Interface and not that naked girls make him uncomfortable. Why the hell is this guy not getting fired? He is very clearly doing a terrible job and is simply plain incompetent. We do not need “celebrity” devs, we need people who take their job serious.
the worst part is that people consider Legion as good expansion to begin with. Can you tell me the fundamental difference between legion and now? What is different on endgame? Only lore and class halls were good, rest of the game had the same RNG and alt un-friendly features.
The narrative, the zones, the themes, the writing, the whole questing experience. BFA was a step down from BFA and Shadowlands even more so.
Even the endgame got worse since Legion with more convoluted weird systems. The only real improvement is with PvP gear which admittedly sucked, and there were a few improvements made during BFA such as the better Auction House UI and the option to hide trasmog.
PvP gear shouldn’t have needed those “improvements” to begin with. It was great in the last season of MoP, great in WoD except for how they kept bribing players into trashran with the weekly box the entire damn expansion, and then the only thing that made Legion templates “work”, was the PR which fooled a surprising amount of people, and the fact that the gear dropped from playing PvP, including the borrowed powers.
That was all that made Legion work. Then they removed the drops in BFA, made everything so much worse with the corruptions because the class designs were so aweful they couldn’t stand on their own, and then came Shadowlands where they only fixed a few of the problems from BFA.
PvP gearing will never be good until they completely separate it from PvE, and remove reasons for PvP players to do PvE to begin with. And vice versa for PvE players, they shouldn’t need to do PvP to PvE either.
