How do you guys like Jailer’s gauntlet?
I personally managed to get to layer 6 with 223 item level. No point in pushing my luck for the rest of the layers but challenge wise I feel like it was okay. Thankfully they made changes at the end of the PTR where we didn’t need to get the mount at layer 8.
Overall score 6/10 on it, I still expected more out of Jailer’s gauntlet but it is what it is.
Done two layers so far, and will do more tomorrow. Personally i prefer this iteration over previous ones simply because its faster to complete layer and feels less tedious.
Yeah, you are right it is better than the previous what we got, I personally disliked the empty layers between it.
In 9.0 and 9.1 i hated that NPC with a lot of HP which disappears at low HP.

Currently working on Layer 4. Its been kind fine so far.
And that’s coming from someone who hates Torghast.
Did layer 4 cause I wanted rat, what are the rewards for the layers after?
might do layer 4 either solo or with a guildmate
what are the rewards for individual layers?
1-4 is : Pet, HS Toy, Title, Mount
L5 is required for a meta-achievement that rewards a mount. Layers past that reward more currency. But that’s about it, no other rewards.
I’ve done up to L4, was a breeze, very fun, enjoyed it. Figured I’ll go into L5 and get that out of the way too. I got owned hard. Will wait a few weeks and more gear 'till I try again.
Liking it so far, much more so than the regular wings. I do miss the Box of Many Things, though… sometimes I’d rather reroll the powers, because I get awful ones.
Yeah gotta agree, box of many things would have been useful on that part don’t understand the logic of making a system then not expanding on it anymore either.
Overall score 8/10 except the rewards needs to improve but I kinda like it.
Would have been great if only L4 was possible for me without getting the best possible powers right at the beginning. Might as well leave if I don’t.
If I pick a felhunter to kick, I get decimated by the mobs because I do no damage and everything takes ages to die, if I pick voidwalker to tank for me I still get decimated because I don’t have an interrupt.
They didn’t put any thought into class balance as usual. No idea what I expected. Blasted through L1-3 without a single hiccup, but L4 is where it ends for me without a group.
Edit: nevermind, I just got the best possible destro powers right at the start and it’s still nowhere near enough. Destro just cannot solo L4 without a comically absurd amount of luck.
Did up to and including layer 4 for the mount… i swear i didn’t notice it had more layers, just checked now. lol
Though i see it only gives some mats… so i’ll do the rest whenever.
Was ok… though some of the times i didn’t have good powers and it took a long time to kill some stuff.
I like it, at least solo.
Went into layer 5 with a friend and the mobs pretty much picked up and used us as brooms to clean torghast. The scaling seems crazy if you’re playing with others. I can probably do it solo on layer 5 if I get the right powers at the start.
I managed to get past without any issues on layer 5, but when I entered layer 6 they used me as a toilet brush, will be back later for them.
This version is a lot more fun, quick and you feel super overpowered (which is how I imagined Torghast).
It was good! I saw 4 layers, and decided, 4 layers I shall do. The last one taunted me with its recommended 275 ilvl, and I felt like a boss for beating it. Then I found out there are 4 more and it was just a bad taunt…
Anyway, it’s cool, although focus may have shifted a bit too far from AoE. The real shame is I don’t have much reason to do it. As I noted to my friends yesterday, you’ll have more than enough Cosmic Flux from doing things you actually want to do, and gold/timegating will be the actual limits.
seems to be harder in groups. i tried it with a group and bosses started to randomly one shot people in layer four, stage four. (everyone had about 250 item level)
but should be doable with more gear. it was overall very fun 8/10.

Overall it’s a fun game mode, should have been the default thorgast game mode to be honest.
Not tried it yet, I heard it starts to get more challenging at layer 4 for most due to our current gear.
