Unfortunate but it is what it is.
go get it or don’t and skip another 5 years
About the Detective Title, I could only find this:
WoW’s 20th Anniversary
- Players must now be level 30 to accept and turn-in the Celebration Crate quests. Alyxx will continue to be available to turn the crate quests in after the celebration ends in a year-round location.
I don’t know/didn’t find anything about if players can do all of the required Alyx quests for the title after the event ends.
Sowwy ._.
Yeah latest would be for Midnight release when TWW becomes part of the base sub.
Ah! Yeah, sure, hence only the crates will stay available.
Why did I think I had to do four of them back then…did they change that, too?
Ah, nevermind.
Ugh, sometimes I hate my memory…
Fact for OP remains: It is 100% soloable, just requires some time to to complete all requirements for each step to be able to complete each step.
Aprix posted the wowhead link to Naga Attack! Where the next time its up on EU is in 6hrs and 45mins.
I did it weeks ago to get the toy for it.
I have those and many more to do this but i wont even bother the bike looks like poop.
Im glad i get to skip this one
Got kids - went 5 years afk but want´s it all. You can´t have both a life and wow , that would be cheating.
wait a year or more and it becomes available via other methods.
The underlying mistake in the thought process is that it´s not a “quest” to begin with. It´s a secret to be discovered /solved. Which in WoW generally equates to a massive scavenger hunt.
Just in case today’s youth actually doesn´t know what that is (which unfortunately wouldn´t surprise me one bit): you and a few other people get a list of say a dozen things to collect, no instructions on where or how to acquire them, and the first one to bring them all back gets a prize… difference here is that everyone gets the prize, regardless of whether they were first or haven´t even started yet.
The mere fact that guides for these things even exist is kind of contrary to the point of them existing, but unfortunately inevitable in todays´day , age, and society where apparently everything has to be served up on a silbver platter and fed to poeple with a platinum spoon.
This is patently false, because it IS available to you. You´re just not getting it for doing nothing, and neither is anyone else. In your case merely have one or two more steps to complete than someone who started playing before you did. And very specifically the steps such as monolith /pray or ZG Altars don´t even actually require you to personally do anything but have the patience to stand around afk waiting for someone else to do it. Actually completing these steps yourself merely speeds it up.
Simply paying for a game does not entitle you to not have to play it to progress or get nice things.
The only people that “can´t” get the mount are the ones that don´t complete the 20th Anniversary Detective event … everyone else that says they can´t get it is, with all due respect, merely too lazy to invest the effort required.
Very doubtful, as other secret-soloving mounts such as the Hivemind and Lucid Nightmare are still only available by solving the corresponding puzzles. And that’s the way it should stay.
Please don´t tell my wife this, otherwise we might have to get us some of those of those minimum wage jobs instead of working from home
But yeah, sometimes life just makes it hard to do what you want when you want… Just like Secrets in WoW aren´t supposed to be freeloot
To be fair regarding creating guides: The Secrets of Azeroth are SO complex and include such a huge amount of deep knowledge not only of the WarCraft lore but the Game itself with all it’s corners of the game world which barely anyone visited from the majority of players in 20 years, including parts of the puzzle referencing things from the real world.
The way the secrets are created makes them straight up impossible to solve without the massive Secret Finding Community helping each other and hivemind brainstorming.
Guides are inevitable as those Secret Finder Communites won’t stick around and help every new interested player in the coming years.
The secrets are soloable, but to solve them from SCRATCH without any help, that’s near to impossible for one or a group of few.
I agree, I´m not saying the guides are “Bad” per se, esp as the secrets have become more and more complex over the years, sorry if it came off that way.
But IMO they do often take a lot of the fun out of it by presenting pre-chewed solutions to even the simplest sub-puzzles, especially when many players simply don´t even try to solve them themselves, but just follow the guides step by step even when they would have been faster trying to solve tehm “organically”.
IMO it´s just kind of wasting the point of having such a large brain to not even try to solve things yourself, though I am keenly aware that some people have issues even with simply line puzzles and such and need addons to solve them.
Like most things in life, it´s not so much the tools themselves that are questionable, rather it´s how many use them
We’re agreeing on the same level.
The “silver platinum feeding” part through me a bit off, yes
… and a brain.
Methinks the fella’s had too much Christmas whine.
I missed BFA also so had to go to Zuldazar and level up in each area doing the main quests to get your reputation to friendly. It is doable and you can take your time. The Naga world quest doesn’t take long. Also the Yipp Saron costume is a one time use only and disappears when travelling, logging out etc so use it wisely.
Good luck.
The quest chain isn’t broken, if you’re struggling to find what you need to do to pick it back up, use btw quests or something.
I hadn’t done any bfa on my character as I stopped playing at Pandas and came back at DF.
Got all the stuff for this including the toy and full bfa completion in 2 days. But you can also get the items by being in a group with or just stood near others with the stuff for completion.
Look in discord servers like the secret finder one and ask for people to help you clear the steps if you’re unable to yourself.
It’s a secrets of azeroth quest chain not a TWW one, it covers multiple expansions and will be around forever to do
Au contraire: What if the issue is not enough Chrismwhinesm?
Good thing Nannexx’s WASD-er hates the taste of alcohol xD So I fear it just simply boils down to his own forgettynessnes and stupiditylity :

Also the Yipp Saron costume is a one time use only and disappears when travelling, logging out etc so use it wisely.
Careful with throwing money at/farming the costumes, I did it with only the Twitching Eyeball Toy and the Pug without any costume, that worked perfectly fine. You don’t really need the Pug costumes.

You don’t really need the Pug costumes.
This is possible but unconfirmable.
The “problem” is that it´s almost impossible to confirm because it´s entirely possible, if not at the moment likely, that somebody not in your phase and /or in war mode (I.e. you cannot see them but the server can) could be doing it simultaneously and had all the items, and you got credit because you just happended to be there at the same time… the exact same thing applies to the ZG altars, just because you didn´t have all the items listed doesn´t mean somebody else didn´t. Or in the case of the altars specifically, multiple people with 1 item /buff /pet /mog each is also entiirely possible as long as they´re all “chanelling” at teh same time. I finished 3 of the ZG altars just by walking close to see which “ghost” was displayed above them, and they completed before I was finished setting my own stuff up

This is possible but unconfirmable.
No, Josh himself on the discord said that the pug costumes are not needed.
They can be used, but are NOT a requirement.
You have to go at least once to Azj-Kahet, so TWW is needed to get the bike.
As to the world quests for other expansions, why should they not be available?
I am a returning player too and never did Shadowlands. So I couldn’t get to Maldraxxus. Today I did the intro quest (Maw) and unlocked the flight paths.
Why should BfA be impossible?

No, Josh himself on the discord said that the pug costumes are not needed.
They can be used, but are NOT a requirement.
Ah, ok, I wasn´t aware because I´m not on it, tyvm

You have to go at least once to Azj-Kahet, so TWW is needed to get the bike.
You have to go twice, once early on to do get the notes and later create the key, and once again on orb 9 to get the mount and FoS.
There may or may not be further azj’kahet activity needed on orbs 10-12, afaik those are still unsolved.
