Boats camped. Flightpaths camped. Graveyards camped (or should be, if these degens actually wanted to apply themselves for once in their miserable lives).

I did. I also went PvP for the population. Clearly a mistake. Would have been better if BG’s released at the same time as honor system. But nope. Classic devs are psychopaths and want their players to suffer. Anyways.
We’ve learned a lesson or two since we launched the original Honor System in 2019. With that launch, we saw a lot of great chaotic outdoor PvP engagements between players. But this chaos also led us to adjust plans so that we released battlegrounds slightly earlier than expected. This time, with the new Anniversary Edition realms, we’re leaning into the excitement and embracing the chaos—for one week only! (Southshore vs. Tarren Mill anyone?) We will be opening the Warsong Gulch and Alterac Valley battlegrounds on 16 January at 22:00 GMT globally, one week after the updated Honor System goes live.
The whole “you were warned” response to this is so poor.
Yes players are warned when signing up that it’s a pvp realm, but they are not warned about the ridiculously fast paced release schedule of the anniversary realms unless they go searching for it.
The devs totally screwed this release.
they rushed the release of MC and created a fear of missing out in the player population that encouraged RMT for boosts which in turn created a feeding ground for bots.
they didn’t put dynamic mob spawning in all locations which meant mob spawns were too low.
the population of the server was far too high and the layering system wasnt adequate which meant those players who were on the curve were massively inhibited and leveling became excruciatingly slow.
they rushed the release of the honor system so now all those players who were on the curve are being repeatedly ganked/farmed by those who were ahead of the curve.
It’s an absolute mess and simply blaming players for signing up to a pvp server is not an excuse for blizzards idiotic release schedule.
Why do you think the Horde will have longer que? They are more populated on PvP server but on PvE Alliance dominates a lot! Think the waiting time for ques will be similar.
I don’t find it surprising with how it went in 2019. It was the exact same situation then, and it lasted longer. Hopefully it’ll calm down next week, once the bg’s went live the situation was much better with the first round of Classic
This is a CATCH UP phase, meant to HELP players who were going at a slower pace with much stronger Dire Maul and ranking gear becoming available.
How can MC be rushed when it was literally delayed by 3 weeks to give more people time to do it from the first reset? Under normal circumstances MC and Ony would be out from day 1.
The release schedule has nothing to do with it. They released honor back in November of 2019 over 2 months since start of Classic and there were STILL many players not even close to 60 who complained about the same thing. People just like to complain even though they were warned and informed from many sources including Blizzard themselves.
So for you the Classic devs are psychopaths because they didn’t do things to your liking and released BG’s when you wanted them… it’s funny that people are so quick to blame the game or the devs.
We could that you are the psychopath no? You yourself said that you went to a PVP server for the population… a PVP server where open world PVP is expected to happen and you hope that people have “correct” behavior like not camping, not ganking? Really? Something that has probably been in this game since OG Vanilla?
