And what’s the point of Legion Remix? It is there, and I honestly don’t care about it whatsoever, and didn’t even click it. I think that’s the same idea as housing. Those who want to do it will do it. The game offers loads of options to do whatever you want. Sometimes I just fly in Emerald Dream, doing nothing and listening to the music that plays there, because it feels nice. Again, it perhaps makes no sense to war-hungry people who play the game for different reasons.
Extremely overestimated. I give housing a week or two.
Remember updated character customization options? People were crying for more options for years and then when update hit the client people fiddled for a few minutes and forgot about it.
I personally don’t even remember which hairstyles are new and which are old lol.
You’re viewing Player Housing just from your own personal perspective.
For you, we clearly know, it’s pointless.
For other people it will be the main source how they’ll spend their game subscription.
Let people decide what they wanna do in game if they paid for it.
Your point of view is like if someone was asking ‘what’s the point of raiding?’
Some people enjoy it, some people hate it.
Ofc and in defence of blizzard they already stated that their will be at some point only a mythic raider or high rated pvp/m+ player will have exclusive furniture or costumization for their house, also they have said there will be microtransactions so they didnt lie or something
You clearly have no clue what you’re talking about, but that is fine, it just means that housing is not for you. I don’t like m+ either and I think it’s a huge waste of developer resources and time (why do this huge hamster wheel only for it to become pointless after a few weeks, months at best? It’s stupid), but I don’t go out of my way telling people it’s this, as this is just my opinion in fact. I get that some may like it as well.
Housing has always been a huge success in most of the games it’s been implemented in, so it’s like passing up on free money by not doing it. And no, garrisons weren’t housing, not even close to that, that’s why they failed HARD. Moreover, Blizzard said several times by now that housing is being worked on by a dedicated “parallel” team, so not to drain resources from the game (whether this is true or not, I won’t argue, but this is the information we’ve got so far), so even the point about it hampering the whole expansion as far as we may know for now, isn’t valid.
Lastly, I am one of those guys that will spend more time in housing than the rest of the game. I’ve always done it elsewhere, and now I will be doing it here. It’s a refresher to see them dedicating seriously to something that isn’t raiding or m+ or some other form of it for once.
I was originally excited for housing, but after seeing how expensive a lot of the items are, crossed with the fact that a cosmetic system is timegated, ill probably just ignore it.
I think its a waste of time personally, I don’t feel like I need a house for my character and I don’t think wow is a game that lends itself to such, but all my friends are hyped so i’ll just ignore it and let them have their fun.
And how much people you think work for blizzard so far they had only lay offs nowhere was mentioned about ppl getting hired to replace the lay offs.
I liked the garrisons but i didnt sit in them 24 7 level your followers gear them new missions get the profession buildungs going, only the barn was really time intensive but you got good gold from it. They were fine for some but its not hard to empathize on why others probably had some mmo vibe killed for them if you reflect on how much time you spent in the wod majortown either.
I wouldn’t care about housing if tww would have felt more like 3 seasons of decent balancing actively working on immensive lags in ebgs trying to get new blood into pvp by removing premade vs pugs/randoms stomps for ez gold. Just looking at the lfr queuetimes for MOUNT boss parts should give anyone an idea how bad things are.
I mean just look and compare how much people got 2.4 in the first season which is always the most inflated one with the most people engaged 14xx.. Despite shuffle and welfare blitz this is just sad for a game thats having 1m subs half of them being tai/ru bot farms. This addon was over after the first season and df wasn’t that much different as well s1 strong engagement s2 mid,s3 s4 dead. Sl was also more or less over after s2.
Hearing 24 7 about housing and ofc its also linked to the shop who could have imagined that, sets expectations high, they won’t be fulfilled. If you were not satisfied with garrisons x years ago and all they had to offer, you won’t be satisfied with this either.
You clearly don’t enjoy the simple pleasure of just decorating a house or exterior. Making it look nice, just to have a chill place to logout or chill while chatting with your guild.
That’s the whole point of the system, it’s just for fun and chill. It serves no grand purpose, it’s just there for people to have fun with and enjoy.
Also, this feature will most definitely be used in 2 years, especially on the RP servers.
Noooo, transmog - collectibles are rewards for doimg content. The endgame content is M+, Raids, PvP, Wqs and Delves. You can argue that collectibles are the true reward since they stick with you beyond the end of a season/expansion but they are not content.
And that is what player housing will be as well. Another reward for doing content, that the players who are invested in collecting stuff can chase after.
