So when warrior nerf in arena?

I could probly make a list why warriors are the fotm, but we all know they are broken. So when will they nerf them?

Probably not before 9.1 if you ask me. And even then, arms will remain at the top of the food chain. Deal with it

The reason they’re so OP in arenas is the same reason they’re so UP in PvE. The entire class needs a heavy redesign.

Condemn and probably an intervene nerf aside, Arms warrior design in pvp is probably up there at the top and is in no need of a redesign. If all specs were designed this well then pvp would be extremely enjoyable for lots more people.

No, Arms needs a redesign. The entire class needs a redesign. The swinginess of the spec makes it plain unfun to either play or face. An MS that hits for 3.5k can under optimal conditions crit for 13.5k without the Berserker buff.

It feels weak when you get the low end and it feels bad for whoever gets deleted by that.

The larger issue is all the exponential modifiers that the spec have. Any percentage increase is ALWAYS bad for an MMO as the base number those percentages affect will always increase, making the “buff” from them larger without the buff number increasing.

If MS does 2k damage and you add +40% from Overpower then it does 2800 damage. If the MS damage increases to 3k and you add the same +40% from Overpower then it’ll do 4200 damage. It’s madness and affects everyone negatively because people remember the bad times. For Arms players, the bad times are when MS hits for little. For those hit the bad times are when MS hits for lots.

This reversely affects PvE since Arms has to be severely underpowered in tier 1 since if they were balanced in tier 1 then they would be OP in tier 2. Arms will never ever really be balanced for PvE until 9.3 for the same reason. It’s just a poor and overall unsatisfying design.

And due to the exponential, the jousting potential of Arms is going to be utterly insane in PvP because jousting damage means a lot since you relatively low time uptime on a target due to peeling and kiting. So yeah, S1 is going to be the period Arms is the most balanced for PvP, and it’s already as balanced as a hippo on a seesaw.

You are talking purely about dealing damage. I am talking about the spec in it’s entirety and all the the great options we have from legendaries to pvp talents. I’m quite satisfied with arms in pve also.

Ah, you’re talking about the lack of self-healing, which is correct. The issue with that is that Warriors are marathon runners while everyone else is a sprinter. If the Warrior can survive the initial burst they win simply because they can keep going. Everyone else turns rather flaccid once their major CDs are spent. Arms have none, which is both a strength and a weakness as they’re unable to participate fully in the burst madness that everyone else is,however, they can function better in the long-term since they have no major burst cooldowns.

No, I am not talking about a lack of self healing.

Ah, the utility then,. since that’s all that’s left. The issue with borrowed power is that it’s borrowed, meaning that at some point it has to be returned. And when that happens Arms is back to it’s usual poor self.

And Arms has to be redesigned at some point. This expansion has the borrowed power class-based instead of spec-based and it shows. Unless the borrowed power aligns with the spec then any other spec is hollow. And Ion has signalled that he wantsto move away from borrowed power, though that can change, meaning, that without a redesign the Warrior class will really suffer.

Every classes borrowed power as it stands is numerous. We were one of the few classes to actually get a few of our old abilities back and our existing ones made baseline. These changes alone still make arms warrior feel really nice to play and I do not believe arms would be back ‘to it’s usual poor self’. You could actually take all of our borrowed power away this patch and we’d still be strong in pvp.

Strong and fun to play might I add

when I will be able to global healers, heavy classes and people with defensives up, there and then only the warrior will be considered ‘‘broken’’ and will nerfed.
i dont know if we play the same game but no sane person would call warrior ‘‘broken’’, when CERTAIN someone can literally global you in a mere moments, and we all know which classes / specs im talking about. so lets stop pretending that arms warriors are the issue with world of warcraft pvp here.

They will probably buff them, I mean mage was the best dps class so obviously they buffed one of their legendaries, which makes them even stronger. Blizzard balance in this expansion is just trolling.

I guess a bunch of specs will get the hammer in 9.1 tho.

Their borrowed power adds to the baseline. Notice how classes and specs that are underperforming have borrowed powers that fix the holes in the specs?

Fury needs a serious PvP buff.

Yes, they can. Of course, doing so is based on an emotional belief instead of a rational one.

People are used to effortlessly being able to deal with a no-healer Arms. Then when it gets a healer, which makes up for the survival shortcommings of Arms, and survives the initial burst, and then trounces them. This creates a reality that’s negative to the prior one, and people always react emotionally to what affects them negatively. It gives rise to a cognitive dissonance where Warriors at the same time are perfectly balanced, e. i. when they can trounce them easily, and horrible OP, e. i. when they’re unable to do so.

what do you wanna nerf ?

Our borrowed power does not fix the spec, hence why Arms Warrior would still be strong and fun to play without any of it.

The experience of “fun” is highly subjective. Personally I feel no fun in having little control over my damage, having no control over my resource gain unless I spec a certain way, and having no reliable survivability at all when everyone else has. Arms has plenty of mitigation tolls, however, mitigation just makes you die slower, survivability removes your loss of health.

Judging from what I see on the forums a lot of people agree with that assessment.

Depends whether you time cd’s well and trade defensives for offensives against you. We can survive a lot longer than some people may have you think. Mitigation is pretty handy in buying you time to score a kill.
