Littered around Stormwind and a majority of the Alliance capitals including Boralus hangs a single poster accompanied with a picture of an overflowing flagon of what appears to be Ale along with a wealth of text provided below.

To the denizens of the Grand Alliance!

Come one, come all to the newly established Ironforge Drinking Contest! That’s right, your eyes gander correctly. A drinking competition in the very heart of Ironforge itself to test ones open gullet and iron stomach.

The rules alone are very self explanatory, drink until you can drink no more and the last remaining participants will continue on to the finals until the last one is standing
 literally!

Your time is NOW! Compete against your fellow friends and rivals in a test for the unwavering! Find us within Ironforge inside Stonefire Tavern and claim the title of The Strongest Stomach!

Fear not to all those who don’t wish to quench the thirst as you have all been accounted for. Meats, sweets, patisseries and confectioneries as well as non-alcoholic beverages will be around the venue as well for all to scoff!

What’s all this then?:
As the festivities of last year have come to a close, new ones, as always, linger upon the horizon! This is a new concept/idea in hopes to once again re-establish Ironforge to its former glory as a wondrous RP hub as it was “back in the day”. Seeing the growing population there, this event alone will provided an even greater boost in both activity and IC interactions.

When and where does it start?:
The event itself is scheduled to begin at 8:00pm Realm Time on the 24th March 2019 and is to be held within Stonefire Taven which is located in The Commons of Ironforge.

What’s the reward?!:
You’ll still be alive the following day. I joke. The reward itself isn’t materialistic. It is moreso the pride of holding down your drink then any other and truly having “The Strongest Stomach”.

Who can attend?:
Anyone and everyone as it’s an open community event!

Summery
I don’t expect this event to be the “Event of the Year” nor is it a social experiment, I would just like to reignite (no pun intended) the RP community that was once in Ironforge purely because I thought it was some of the best times of RP I and many others have had. As it’s the home of the Dwarves, what better way to see it through then a drinking contest!

I’d advise you to review the English of the above and add some roll system to determine the winners and it should be fine to go!

 does one ‘compete’ in game terms? :slight_smile: (I’m thinking it’ll be /roll based but I don’t see that in the OP.)

Not that I won’t sit at my keyboard and chug whisky if that’s required. I should be out of the starter zone in time x)

So no rules, no system, no rewards, no way to keep anyone from claiming their character can just keep drinking til they win, and there’s a sign up but there’s no attendance limit.

Isn’t this just regular, day to day tavern RP?

Thank you to all that have replied thus far! I understand that there is some confusion regarding the “Competitive” aspect of the event to which I will answer! It is my fault alone that I did not provide an accurate representation on how competitors will work up the tally and on to the finals but YES you are correct. There is indeed a roll system and it’ll be /roll 20 and NOT /roll 100.

Goes as follows which should be second nature to most. They’re three rounds, each round will rely on who has the greater number after each roll. For example:
X rolls higher then Y and therefore X wins the round.

This will continue on until (as mentioned) the third round is complete and whoever has the best amount of success rate during the rolls will be the ultimate winning of the round and they will progress on through the event until the finals.

If each participant gets three rounds and hit a tie, it’ll be sudden death and whoever get the lowest number will be eliminated! I trust this information is beneficial for all those attending or who are just curious! The finalists will have FIVE rounds instead of THREE to spice things up!

Eruwan the level 14 pandaren shaman has made it to Ironforge with the intent to attend :slight_smile: Whether he has an alcohol tolerance is yet to be proven, but I look forward to finding out.


but unless someone buys one of my battle pet auctions, I can’t actually afford many drinks yet and I will not have any kind of transmog x) I will try to remedy this with some questing.

(Aside; I feel bad for running in Stormwind. Is that normal on AD?)
