Absolutely loving SOD, and overall the Warrior changes have made it feel really fun to play. However running MC with my guild yesterday really showed the significant lack of damage arms warriors are currently doing in PvE. We’re talking about doing less than half the damage of other classes despite having better parses.
I know that traditionally fury has always been the choice for PvE content. But this is SOD, where the Devs have been working to create more balance and option for players so I was hoping this is something that could be addressed.
There’s some amazing 2h weapons in the game, and on the horde side there’s not really any spec that can currently use them! We don’t need arms to be the best, and I’m even happy for fury to remain the top DPS spec, but a few changes to at least make arms viable would be very much appreciated.
Taste for Blood and Blood Frenzy should never be two separated runs. Also Taste for Blood in the same spot with Endless Rage is a cruel joke (especially if you consider that whole Molten Core is immune to bleeds).
Btw Quick Strike is still a meme ability since phase 1.
The war arm no longer has any suitable runes on the gloves. Putting taste of blood and endless rage on the head was intentional. Now does that justify the absolutely monstrous gap with the fury spec? All my parses are between 95 and 100 on heat 1 of molten core and yet on certain bosses I am very, very far from the first. So yes the war arm suffers from a severe lack of damage in PVE, no tools to do damage on multitargets. I remember all those people who said that the war was going to become a vanilla machine as it progressed, let me tell you that you were wrong
you mean once they get an equivalent of attitude adjustor in BWL patch, so they can downgrade their gear?
Wars never got any good post tbc rune to deal damage, we are still using bloodthirst, shield slam, mortal strike, heroic strike and execute, we didn’t get mutilate, crusader’s strike, chaos bolt etc. etc. we got quick strike… devastate and raging blow, that doesn’t scale at all with gear, just weapon dmg, which is useless.
