Seriously, Go install a weakaura or an add-on if you’re too bad and can’t buff without being asked 10000 times. It’s just embarrassing at this point.
More like Paladins can’t buff, and I fully agree with you. It also appears that they ignore your request to get the right buff most of the time. Really an interesting phenomenon.
/signed - WLK too
With one pally it somewhat works, but multiple… Usually I’m the only one buffing.
Kings / Sanctary, Wisdom and Might all at once would be OP.
(It’s lovely when there is a shaman with mana totem! Usually have to ask for it, but get it.)
Coming from another thread, I attribute this to party frames.
During WLK (2009-2010) we used PallyPower to sort it out.
Also the action bars, on second thought. As a support and veteran I sorted it out, but I imagine many players have at most their preferred one out. You know, the #TooManyButtons movement.
Way too many people missing pallypower, I’ve ran into a few people who are against using it and rather leave a dungeon.
could try rolling a character that buffs then you won’t need to demand it, you do understand some people won’t buff the moany people shouting about a buff. i buff when i can out of habit due too HC but honestly if not for that i don’t think i would do it often either. the higher level you get the heavier they are on your mana. as a priest not pally but i don’t see it being too much different, you end up trying to conserve buffs sometimes because of mana.
I disagree… I always keep my buffs up as a priest cuz with that scroll from SM it’s kinda cheap and you do it just once per 45min. But asking ppl to buff up over and over is just sad.
yes our self buffs are at a cost of half our mana but when you’re buffing 3/4/5 people that is almost gone or in some cases it is gone just using fortitude. maybe we could ask the devs for a mana revision on our buff spells lol not sure they will do it though ^^
I believe it might be heavy on mana without that item from SM but rn I am able to buff up whole 10man raid with single mana pool. And I believe MotW, arcane intellect and blessing are even cheaper
so for them it is more they cba than anything else… it still isn’t nice to have someone shouting at you to buff them though but in a party you still got to do it. a small player issue, personality’s and opinions will clash over the smallest thing lol
The problem if they gated QoL books behind instance drops. They could have made passive every blessing 60min or something.
On my Shokadin for instance i do not have the books. My blessing only last 5 min. In bg pvp i buff once at the start. Pve i could not say i don’t play that on my meme. But i would buff tank / healers. That’s it.
I already play 3 Paladins. I know how to click on PallyPower and set it up.
I play mainly PvE and I really hate when I got to the last boss of raid and still missing buffs since beginning even though there are multiple druids/mages/priests…
I wouldn’t even consider the books/scrolls gated, They almost always drop and the dungeon they drop from is a low level leveling dungeon. No pre-quest required or anything. This is simply laziness.
i don’t use add-ons except for the questie and a map one if they had an updated UI and quest log, i wouldn’t need either. hope they choose to test those at some point too since this is hybrid/classic
Open Wow#2 level your chacters to buff your self. because people getting asked by milons of players to buff them and he dont want to be drink every 1 sec
Sure mate I’ll park my paladins outside and everytime salvation/wisdom falls off I’ll walk out of the raid to buff my self and zone back in.
My god you people.
This thread truly shocks me, I had no idea people are this stingy with their buffs. I have a buffo-o-mat setup and I consider it a glaring personal failure if any of my party or raid members ever enters combat without arcane intellect. Like you have a way to improve your party performance and don’t do it because…? It seems like a borderline griefing to me not to buff.
I have a sneaking suspicion that we are discussing different scenarios.
In dungeons, buffing is mutually beneficial. It’s a legend now: I joined a 40ish group as a shaman during BC for RFD. We agreed to take it easy, as I was sporting weak weapons, and our healer was struggling, too (shadow maybe). To be helpful, I just kept popping my totems. It was the smoothest run ever. Buffs make it so much easier, period.
(Leveling a pally tank now and having BoW / Spring makes an intergalactic difference.)
(Edit: Oh yeah. I forgot about the cost of PW:F and AI. Full mana pool, poof :))
In the world, I see your point that buffing everyone can be tiresome, especially if your regeneration is lower and there are many players out. I usually have the resources to do so, and the odd response (like a /love yesterday) or just the usual thanks jump does it.
Probably, i am lazy (being honest).
Did arms 2 times, gy 3 times and cath 1 time. Got nothing. I am not gonna farm useless instances to farm a stupid QoL book. I have better things to do. Not everyone spammed SM to level to 40 you know
I leveled 3 characters pre xp boost through questing. Got the books on my lock though as i did spam a bit GY (5-6 runs). I think the drop rate was initially high, and got nerfed quite a bit later down the road i p2. Paladin was my last lvl 40.
it’s QoL issue, all those buffs should be 60min, 120min, half cost with skill book.
yes, even pala’s blessings.
