[SoD] Restricted from trading, AH, mail

They will see that the change was recieved very poorly and remove it probably. They tried to implement it very sneakily, but everyone obviously noticed that they can’t trade even if they were subbed for earlier sod phases.

I think that they felt that they needed to make this change and didn’t want to face backlash for it at the same time, they probably wanted to have their cake and eat it too.

They need to do a rollback on all of the recent ****shows and introduce a PTR server. They have no idea what they’re doing right now.

That is so stupid. Im sorry for being new to World of Warcraft and now I cant level my professions or sell Bind of Equip Items I find throughotu my journey.

Like… why am I getting punished for being late, as if it wasnt bad enough that noone runs Blackfathom Depths at this point and youre alone most of the time. No I also am not allowed to trade, I cant but mats I need for my professions I cant sell stuff I make with my professions. Like… I payed 15 Euros to play and this is what I get because I started at the wrong time because screw new players that are too late.

So instead of hiring human GMs that can look into an account if its a human or not this is the solution against botting. Cool cool. As if it was so ahrd to look up if an account mindlessly grinds and never interact with players or if an account talks all the time and is running dungeons. No too hard

I still hope for a clear answer from Blizzard about what they are doing/did and how they are going to fix it. but first of all I demand that they empty their mouths or whatever they have and start giving answers to the community’s questions

Is tgis by any chance your first sub on that acc?

No. If you read the post you could see that he purchased a sub on 20th february. They really need to fix this.

Same problem here, new account, as i level new chars on seperate accounts often, but guess im a bot

It’s a great anti bot measure. GJ Blizz.
So what if we have to wait one month on our alt account.

Just imagine it. You’re new to SoD and you’ve come over to play with friends. You’re two days into your journey when all of a sudden your ability to use the mailbox, trade with others and use the auction house have been quietly disabled. You assume it’s some bug. You look around and people are claiming self found mode was enabled accidentally. It’s dumb, right. But something a hotfix could change.

Then you wait a couple days and the bot that somehow takes two days to respond to you finally gives you the same automated response everyone else got and it tells you that this was actually on purpose and they expect you to not interact with anyone in an MMO for your entire first month. Not a single MMO before has done this. It’s baffling. You quit.

Meanwhile the bot you think you’re dealing with subs for a month on a stolen credit card and leaves the account idle. They proceed to bot on the 2nd month.

Who’s winning here?

Amen well said, its killed my interest to level to 50 again, doubtful i will carry on playing. Nowhere mentioned you will have limited access to classic features for 30 days on the website.
Game is unplayable now. Well done Blizzard.

They don’t have the GMs to take notice.

I think until they understand how bad their situation is, they will not take any action, unfortunately, then it will be too late

The moment i mentioned a refund they removed my post lmao. What is this.
I paid for 3 months sub, i play a bit in a normal way. Then they restrict me telling to disable addons and wait 12 hours. I go play a bit of wotlk. I come back it turns out to be a built in feature to block new people.
Now i can’t refund because of playtime… I don’t want to play inferior version fo a game that I PAID FOR 35 EUROS.

Who thought of this how much drugs did they consume?

How do they expect new players to buy the consumes they will surely need to get invited to raids? Just wait until the content is on farm? Yeah that sounds fun…

Friend wanted to play WoW for first time - we then noticed that Alliance is locked for creation (even when Horde outnumbers Alliance by 52%). We waited for 2 weeks and he was able to creat a character. He then was unable to trade and stopped playing since then.

I think you can’t edited by moderator more than that.

I can completely understand that BUT people shouldnt whine about bots when they dont take measures like these.

Runescape is probably the best example for this as they tried similar measures which yes did dicrease the population as obviously no one wants to play like this.

But now that they have removed such measures bots are just back up and running again.

Im not sure if I wanna agree or disagree with this change as I kinda like it as a bot prevention measure but I also think 30 days IS way too long for actual players.

I do think though that SoD is the best testing ground for this being a seasonal gamemode that will eventually disappear.
