Checking your post history, you only said you logged out for 12+ hours but not whether if you’ve had added paid gametime with real money or with wow tokens or another way.
I did pay a subscription with real money, if it’s what you mean. Sorry, I was thinking it is pretty clear since there is no trial for the classic WoW.
As for logging out for 12 hours, I mentioned it because I was still hoping it can help, plus I tried to explain what actions I took before going on forum. 4 days ago, when I just faced it, whole thing was more confusing. I read first dozen of messages here, found few topics on reddit and so on.
Yes that is true, but some players use a wow token from Retail or Wrath then continue playing on other game versions.
Hey mr blood elf, try to pay the full price for a subscription, only to find out a week later after restriction from GM on an US forum that they have deigned to issue this minor innovation, which was not indicated in capital letters when you bought a subscription. Play without the possibility of returning rep boxes, buying anything, even green weapons and alchemy for raids. Once you experience all the pleasures, share your feelings, ok?

I understand it’s annoying like all restrictions, i also understand that blizz is doing that to try to fight botting on classic servers and improve regular players experience.
And tbh i would not expect someone new to the game with less than 30 days to already be max level and raiding, but i don’t play classic much so i don’t know.
Anyway I’m not saying people don’t have the right to complain, and I’m just sharing an opinion. I just don’t thing this makes the game unplayable for a new player. I can be wrong.
Surely they could link this to the age of the accounts and check for playtime in other Blizzard products. We are not bots. Just people, returning to wow with our friends after a very long break.

I am a returning player as well and guess what… I can’t use the AH, can do everything else just no AH.
How can I level up my professions or get an upgrade or enjoy the game without AH?
I enjoy this game so much!-sarcasm-
15+ years old account and I cant send my stuff to my banking alt - my bank and bags are bursting on a lvl 25!!! How am I ever going to afford my mount when selling 1g+ items for their 20 copper npc vending price?!
Someone gave me 150g to transfer to his alt and I’ll need to pay another 12€ (or whatever the price is) to send the money back next month?
Do the math and try figure out whats wrong there… not counting for the gold inflation its already a pretty bad deal.
Also imagine me having to explain the guildie, I cant give him his gold back.
I wrote so many tickets and all I got, were some bot “AI” answers even regarding a different topic, serious? From more than 10 interactions/tickets I’ve never gotten any answer to my questions/issues but a 25+ line babble with no content at all.
Perhaps Blizzard is the biggest bot in the room.
I’ve also wanted to bring back a few friends but we won’t even be able to play properly for 1 month, nice. Not going to happen.
Just my 2 cents.

Stop buying gold…solution found
It doesn’t stop for me…
20 days in the restriction now, already level 40, still 10 days to go.
if you evaluate this:
a player cannot earn anymore gold than selling everything to the vendor and he will be around level 45-48 when the restriction is over… That’s more than half of your levelling experience gone with the wind by the restriction.
Also there are several quests while levelling that require you to buy something from the auction house. if no1 helps you, you just can’t complete these quests.
When in dungeon you can’t help anyone by giving them some food or water you picked up.
it’s just not fun, and it was never advertised like this. I didn’t quit because i like playing the game but it’s a real pain that it all went down like this. And especially because i in particular am innocent as for many other restricted accounts that just came back or are completely new to the game.
It’s a real shame.
In the mean while i was banned for an entire day (24 hours from the forums) because i ‘spammed’ this topic according to someone. just because i posted a status update daily in this topic.
What has become of this game…
Why are we treated this way

Have you paid for gametime since 2017? Using tokens doesn’t count.
What is puzzling is I have already paid 6 months in advance. Why should I be restricted for waiting 30 days paid time? I have already guaranteed to pay next 5 months. This is really ridiculous.

This is a terrible joke by Blizzard, how can you expect new/returning players to sell/farm and list on AH? I get restricting trading and mail but why AH? wtf, what am I supposed to do as I am getting close to 40 and need my mount? I normally enjoy gathering and just listing everything on AH, which will affect not just me as a player but also the economy as I could provide low-level mats for people to level their professions, etc. (hint as to why prices are still up and rising).
Honestly, no point as so far Blizzard has proven to us returning/new players that they do not care and will not reply to us, we get the same “Bot” spam auto-reply, disgusting what this company has become.

From the perspective of a new player the game is certainly playable. I personally prefer it over retail WoW even with this restriction taking place. Game feels challenging, items, gold, experience – all these things feel valuable and getting them feels good. And I am quit excited to finally get a first mount soon.
But this restriction is a bit too much:
- Gold is so very needed, but I have to sell loot to NPCs which is sometime 100 times cheaper than auction
- Can’t mail items to another character for storing
- Can’t expand bank storage because it is too expensive
- Can’t even give an item to my wife!
- Can’t buy potions
- Can’t buy gear on auction
Also I have chosen a warrior and turns out it is the worst class for leveling, and als it is gear dependent
Playing in the party I am a lot weaker than others, and for sure access to potions and gear could help. The anger he is that because I personally feel like an outcast. Why I am considered to be a criminal by default? And bots are still in there.

Also Blizzard makes it so much worse outside the game. Let’s pretend it was a good restriction for a second and it was a must do action.
- Why it is not clarified in the game? That action is currently restricted can means anything. And there is no error code or link to the forum.
- Why there is no information in the luncher? Especially prior buying.
- Could they email me that We are taking this actions because of bla bla bla?
But what really makes my blood boiling is tech support. I keep getting automated message:
This action has been taken in accordance with our Terms of Use and our In-game Policies which all players acknowledge and agree to prior to playing. These policies and conditions allow us to maintain a fun and safe game environment for all of our players.
This message is even more abstract, and feels like I am being accused for cheating.
At this point I still don’t know, maybe I actually did something wrong. Maybe those addons I’ve been trying or something? What then? What if after 30 days the restriction won’t be lifted? Whole thing is so blur.

32 days on my restriction left. I have bought all the bank bagslots to store my consumes because I can’t send them to an alt. I can’t farm. I have to use a different account to be able to trade my character essential items to actually continue playing my character, but the more I trade, the harder it gets to manage the bagspace lol. 7 month old acc btw xd

so true. 2 days left my month sub and i will probably not renew it because of all these things.
The last few points really sum up this issue. The biggest problem has been how terribly executed it has been. The error messages and explanation are just terrible and not thought out at all.
It’s also recently come to light that new accounts can still use the C.O.D mail, to be sent items and pay for them on delivery. So guess what? Bots have a really simple way to move the gold they make. This probably explains why you still see bots EVERYWHERE.
So what is even being solved here?! Are we just suffering these restrictions for no benefit at all?

I thought the mistake would probably pass, I wrote a bunch of appeals, it didn’t help. Pumped 41 levels on the priest. You can’t do some quests on runes, you need an auction, you can’t do an ulduman quest either, you need silver, and I’m a herbalist, desolance you need mithril and leather quests and need an auction. I set a goal for myself, make 50 lvl and how the subscription will end no longer renew it. I had enough “pleasure” from the blizzard, when a normal player became worse than a bot.
Blizzard loves money and does not like new players, so I propose a fair solution to this situation - give paladins the opportunity to buy and sell things at the auction, because it is impossible to bring light when you have a white hammer and no heal pots. The level of sophistication of the solution is approximately equivalent to the introduction of a restriction
You are in a guild, get someone there to send you the stuff.
