Solid Chest disappeared before looting

I googled, didn’t find anything similar except chests disappearing due to phasing in retail but that isn’t the case here.

I know I’m not crazy, and I haven’t smoked yet, anyway here is the short story.

Every so often when I’m bored I go around Azshara farming herbs and looting all the Solid Chests that I find.
I was about to loot a Solid Chest at one of the Furbolg camps when suddenly with 1 or 2ish seconds left it disappeared and I got an “invalid target” message.
There were no other players around.

Has this happened to anyone else? Or can somebody explain what happened here?

Cant be sure, but maybe someone else looted it and left something inside it, and that maybe gave it a timer like a corpse ? and then disappeared 5 minutes later.

You speak a lot of sense, this sounds plausible.
Never ever seen it happen before though but thanks for the big brain theory!

Edit: I googled your theory and more people seem to think this is the way it happens. :slight_smile: damn why didn’t i think of that

I think that’s the problem, high on oxygen for a change, hit him hard!
