Probably not but they can bring old skirmishes with healers in 2s while being able to queue 2s and 3s separately. If they would increase rewards for skirms a lot of people would play them and Blizzard would have great testing ground for real solo queue. I’d love to play skirms when my rated partners are offline. A lot of comps were invented in skirms back in the day and you could meet cool people. Also finding partners would be easier as you would be judged by gameplay not achievments from 10 years ago. Blizzard #bring back skirms!
wow thats amazing idea lets not make this controversial just add the bracket ffs
#soloqueue
as a mistweaver im noones choice so i guess i just uninstall then
#soloqueue
Well, no. I just call it stupid design. No one is going to pick an X class because it is not in meta and yet, they will advertise the game “play the game the way you want”. Thanks for trolling Blizzard.
Why most games that have PVP have solo Q in it besides WoW then?
Yeah I really want solo queue as well. For arenas (3v3) there are some things that should obviously be met such as you can queue as spellcleave or meleecleave teams so that you dont end up in a team that consists of arcane mage, outlaw rogue and x healer. That would be miserable and not worth it at all. For RBGs tho I dont think it matters as much
Solo queue for Solo queue players would make sense and would be a step in the right direction to repair their reputation with the PvP players.
The idea of random players being put together against another group of random players sounds refreshing if you ask me.
But alot of players play every week with random people for their cap? Doesnt need to be organized to achieve something. Does it help? Obviously.
But every other game has this? League, valorant, cs go?
Doubt it. They are too lazy and inept.
Because most games are not WoW. That would be short answer.
Let’s take Overwatch for example. You can solo queue there.
One of the things that you can do in Overwatch and you cannot really do in World of WarCraft is to carry your whole team.
In 3v3 arena match, if someone dies, match is pretty much lost.
In Overwatch, if you die, match is not lost but you can carry a lot.
In World of WarCraft, if you play rated battlegrounds, match is not lost when you die but you cannot carry whole team. You cannot do that with crappy gear especially.
So, point is, you cannot say PvP is PvP where ever you point a finger and call it same thing.
I’m all for it.
Solo queue doesn’t prevent organized play at all.
Do it all the time in random bgs, dungeon finder and lfr. We use tactics and teamplay just that we don’t have it decided before we enter and make it up on the spot instead.
Sure not every one is on the same page every time but that adds the the challenge and fun.
Main reason I’d like solo que is to not having to use that god awful group finder and to bring in some much needed randomness into rated.
I’m so tired of playing the same comps and the same tactics over and over.
I am sure that those people that play for their cap do not really make a request “We are pushing rating” because that is what most people do in rated play and that is what they want to achieve.
I find a valid argument that solo Q should be a thing because those people that play for cap, do not really care for rating, so in either case, their rating is still in rated ladders. There would be absolutely no difference for people that solo Q and would be much easier to engage into rated PvP.
This, however, increases a risk of getting a player that does not enter into arena or rated BG, and you are destined to lose. But, it should not matter because you are just doing rated play for cap, if you want more organized and reliable play - teaming up with other players is still there.
Not hard at all. I just dont think this will solve the problems in PVP.
look at pretty much nearly every other game that has a ranked mode, there is solo queue, ven in other blizzard games… imagine if when Overwatch ranked mode originally game out it only let you queue as 6 instead of solo, it would’ve died quicker, making it more accessible has no downsides
Plz add soloqueue RBG. I would spam those every day. RBG is dead this season. You have to sit hours in LFG, just to get into a game to be farmed by gladiators. Let us play this game for fun and let the e-sport thing go!
Just add it… All i can see is the game gaining more pvpers to come back and even maybe let PVErs become PVPers like we always wanted since everyone knows being a gladiator is way more prestigious, than being a keystone master or having cleared a raid…
I say hell yeah, i def want to try rated pvp if they add a solo-que system, where i’m not being forced to play with a lowkey mentally ill person. +1
I don’t think there should be a solo queue, organized PvP should be about developing your strategy as a team based upon your successes and failures. How do you do that if you never meet the person again?
I think they should find other ways to improve group finding. A few suggestions:
Firstly, there should be a dedicated PvP area in game for each faction. It should have a large dueling area where cooldowns can be reset. It should have leaderboards, the ability to view other people’s arena games etc. There’s so much that could be added.
Match making system should be improved. When I currently look for 3v3, i am shown a long list of every group, with every rating imaginable. The interface should contain this information about us already, and we should be able to specify the type of partner we’re looking for.
Edit - I think they should add 2v2 and 3v3 skirmish as separate queues - many people could benefit from practicing in a stress-free environment. They should also allow healers in 2s skirmishes, as healers would like to practice, too… I think they could also add a skirmishes rating too, with some cosmetic rewards etc
Wait, just think about what you’ve said… With solo queue, you’re BY DEFINITION being forced to play with random people, who could match the description you’ve just given ( a vulgar description if i might say )…
Which leads to the question, what on earth is wrong with finding a partner on the group finder??
It takes effort. Thats their only problem. It takes effort from their side which people have problem with. Simple entiltement of casual gamers nowdays.
