I downloaded a couple of addons from a reputable source (such as forge). They are the correct version for Classic.
Upon installing them in the specified folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\World of Warcraft_classic_\Interface\AddOns) I dont see the addon button on the char screen upon login.
I unpacked the addons into separate folders under the main directory (example: C:\Program Files (x86)\World of Warcraft_classic_\Interface\AddOns\Bagnon-master). This is my only copy of WoW so the directory is correct.
I restarted my computer, reinstalled the addons, but still to no avail.
Has anybody encountered similar issue? If so, what is the solution to this?
I do not even see the Addon button in the character screen. SO I can not tune or enable the addons. And as for the bagnon for example, it does not seem to work as my bags are still separated.
That is interesting, I have just downloaded bagnon 8.2.9 from curseforge, installed it and it seems to work as it should, I wonder if you maybe got a corrupted download how does it appear in your /…classic/Interface/Addons/ folder there should be five folders BagBrother, Bagnon, Bagnon_Config, Bagnon_GuildBank and Bagnon_VoidStorage
anyword with -master in the folder needs to be taken out, you should also open that folder and check whats inside. If its another folder with the exact same name; move it out then delete empty one
Some Addons, after Unzipping are placed in two folders before the actual addon content, like:
…_classic_\Interface\AddOns\NEW-ADDON\NEW-ADDON\AddonFiles
You need to drag and drop the last folder before the addon files, so it’s like:
…_classic_\Interface\AddOns\NEW-ADDON\AddonFiles
Hmm, thats weird, in my Interface/Addons folder there are just those 5 folders related to bagnon the bagnon.toc file is inside the Bagnon folder and then the other folders appear below the bagnon folder except for the BagBrother folder which appears above the Bagnon folder
I tried everything but wasn’t able to get the Bagnon bag to show ingame. The mod is loaded in the addon list ingame, but just not working.
I reverted to OneBag3, which has somewhat of the same look and feel.
