Say the what now? O_o
The more people who post they want something it appears they purposely avoid doing said suggestion. They’re busy making mythic + nobody asked for, unfortunately.
In every MMO game I’ve played, seasonal characters are meant to be transferred to the ongoing servers. Funny, this happens to Diablo 3 aswell for example, which is a blizzard game.
SOM has already died, therefore there is no ongoing activity in the servers and they could very well move characters to era->wrath so people can enjoy their characters - but since SOM was a failed experiment with a very low % of people playing, this responsibility has been overshadowed by more important stuff to them, which is everything concerning wrath atm. Since they got an understaffed team, I 'd be suprised if they did anything before the very end of their “Scheduled timeline”. It’s also gonna be in a “dead period” aswell, before Ulduar Patch and around or abit after Dragonflight release which is gonna make it almost pointless by then - No hype, but hopefully early enough to prepare for Ulduar.
This will happen, most people here are upset about the date it will happen, just like you.
To be fair, can you blame us?
First of all, you did only quote one sentence out of my post. Your comment provided no value despite the fact that you acknowledged why people are not happy about this. It’s about the date, yes, and people know this will happen.
But what you need to understand is that people start on seasonal servers knowing that their progress will not be lost, instead transferred when server ends or server dies. SOM is not a hardcore type server. Just clearing this up in case someone thinks that we shouldn’t expect our characters to be transffered.
There were people who played there and wanted to continue playing but the server slowly died. It should be a priority of the company to make sure all servers, SOM or Wrath or Retail, are not dead - and if they are, that they don’t have people(customers!) being stuck there by merging or offering transfers. These people pay a monthly subscription. Some of em have been playing for more than a decade.
Of course, if Blizzard did everything correctly, the way it was supposed to be, game wouldn’t decline as much since 2008-2009.
Actually Blizzard never said that people will be able to transfer off SoM, only a few months ago did Blizzard say that you could move to Era or Wrath. So people should have expected to lose everything, being able to move is a bonus.
Yes, people wanted to play there but they quickly left.
They cannot force people to play on them, how do you expect Blizzard to do this?
Some people like empty realms.
I never understood what people mean by statements like this. What does “correctly” actually mean? I think most people think they know but really the ideas they put forward are either to make things easier or harder, which are Mutually Exclusive for correctly doing something.
Well since it is like that and they don’t keep their own words no boost buying , give me back my female troll shaman from season of mastery to wrath so I can finally use my boost on it and play both Alliance and Horde. I had planned having a char on each faction a long time ago.
Go make another char ! NO ! I want that char i worked on and farmed gold and some pvp rank and other stuff not a new one !
I will go and play on empty realm if i have to like hydraxian waterlord ,no season of mastery character transfer to wrath , no money !/no boost !
The sad part is the reason they haven’t enabled them is because they don’t want you to transfer when you could buy the boost.
I assume most people have already bought it, but even still they can maybe squeeze an extra few dollars from those who didn’t yet.
It’s not such a surprise they’re bleeding players. People unsubbing probably hurts more in a long term but they’re just interested in boosting next quarter.
I don’t think that’s it at all, it’s probably due to the transfers not being allowed until nearer the end date.
I can only speak for my realm but having taken the train here on Pyrewood-village Alliance this is very mediocre result I only saw a handffull of Alliance players with a boost and boosted gear and i did took my time to level and do as much quests as possible in tundra and fjord reason being i am greedy and it is solid money all the gear to sell and random drop plus quest, beside i like enjoying each x-pack.
It is ridiculous in contrast of last year where plenty and nearly all people bought a boost if i should make a call the wrath classic launch was a sucess but boost wise it was a disaster very few peopl bought the boost/took the bait atleast here alliance side , i crossed very few horde too and no boosed one at the moment.
Sorry, but what has that to do with Classic Era and SoM?
WotLK is a completely different game with different problems - and a different forum.
This is almost certainly the reason. Functionality to and from SoM realms is there, because full t3 people transferred to SoM and started destroying people in BGs and people from SoM went to era by mistake near the start.
Also, the game is over as discussed. There is no BGs for weeks, there is no raiding guild left, there is 20 people online at peak times (half bots farming for era) etc. It is dead and has been dead for a considerable amount of time and one of the biggest reasons they don’t want to enable the transfers is because they’re greedy and want everyone to buy boosts first.
This most certainly the reason it is as if they are doing their best to sabotage their own launch , all the mistakes and realm closed, opened then closed and all that circus something is up they are trying to squeeze us of every penny instead of trying to resolve issue.
As if they don’t believe themself in wrath classic , thankfully so far on my realm the amount of boost is ridiculous in regard to last year.
It could be internal struggles inside Blizzard, one faction says open them then another says close them.
Not a chance. Marketing has said they cannot open them for a while due to boosts and that’s the end of it. Will only end up with people unsubbing instead (which many have already from my guild) due to this issue which won’t be recovered even if all of our remaining guild members bought the boost.
We hoped they would be proactive and open transfers early so we knew boosts would be coming and we’ve been let down again - which isn’t a surprise just disappointing.
LET US MOVE YOU DINGUSSES. HOW LONG CAN IT TAKE?
WE. WANT. TO. MOVE.
GET THE FINGER OUT.
It’s already taking long enough man! People are level 80s LONG by now, and lots of people WANTS TO MOVE. - What part are you guys not understanding, from the community?
bump
They are already lvl 80, and by the looks of it now impossible to catch up.
GDKP and max botting inc.
Thanks God for Classic ERA.
PD: just a bit of trolling Guldoksen Hope the issue is dealt with soon…!
