To my experience, SoM is more dead than Classic era (firemaw horde atleast). Lots of raiding going on and since Classic Era is not ending ever, people are actually leveling more and more here, while waiting Lich king or SoM ending.
I’d like to think an impression has been made and it’s shorter than 2 months, considering my original post said 5 guilds remaining, but it is now 3 already and prepatch is not even here yet.
My server just had 3 guilds Disband, i think there is like 2 left. - Also before Pre-Patch, so as of right now, once Pre-Patch hits, there will likely be no raiding guilds anymore, and only 1 pug IF anything.
If this isn’t clear enough for Blizzard to take up on their team, to let us move earlier than anticipated, then i don’t know what is. - You think we’ve made a big enough impression, for them to change their mind, and decrease the time for us to be able to move?
I feel your sentiment and agree with your proposal. Nevertheless I think Blizzard will stick to the “around 1 year” committment as there are many people that will cry over this kind of formalistic nonsense, even if they are the last man on the server (collecting Black Lotuses presumably).
In a way I think Blizz are d*cks for not merging all ERA realms in PVP/PVE and making SoM transfers possible. It should be a technically trivial thing for them and would give the classic community a new lease on life and maybe enough of a pool of players to weather the coming storms. Instead people transfer from dead server to dead server for 25 EUR and/or quit …
It is almost like charging pennies when you could charge $$$ /shrug
I’m not really sure anyone would even cry tbh, it’s not even worth farming lotus, they’re like 4 gold. Bots are just running rampant and nobody is even is the open world to report them. But for the other parts, yeah, agreed.
True, and i agree with you too, Tiky.
Now, please, Kaivax, let Us transfer.
SoM servers can stay open until the time 1 year is up, that is not a problem to anyone as i understand?
Also opening transfers earlier should not be a problem to anyone?
Those who want to live full year, can do so and the servers close when they do and those who are ready to move on, can choose to do so. Customers happy, blizzard happy, bots happy. Win-Win-Win.
Truuuuue bro, true. - Let it be a deicison, of the players to make, open up transfer early, so we who wants can move on, those who wants to stay and keep playing it, can do so.
Couldn’t agree more.
Actually win-win-lose, you forgot about those left with even less players on the SoM realms.
But that is their choice, why choose something if youre not happy with?
Unlogical.
So players who don’t move have an even smaller player pool for the things they do?
You are all thinking about personal satisfaction, not the things that are best for the SoM realms.
Anyway this is all moot as Blizzard won’t be allowing it.
In my book, it would still be the majority of wins, if you compare it to a “Win-Win-Lose”, it’s still two wins over one bad.
The thing is, is that the best for the SoM realms would be, to salvage what little there is left, and just let those move, move, and those who wants to stay, stay.
It’s all about thinking of what the majority wants, and not what suits 5-10% of the entire player-base.
It’s harsh, but that’s how life is, gotta go with the majority, cause it usually wins. (If you want to be on good terms in this scenario, with WoW Players.)
Let’s just analyse your win-win-lose option.
Win - For players who want to move, and whoever said the majority want to go to wrath now? There are what, three or four people on the forums wanting it now.
Win - For Blizzard, Not sure that’s a win as they will be moving anyway in October at the earliest.
Lose - Players already on SoM and wish to stay will face a smaller player pool and less people raiding.
I would say it’s nearer a 50/50 split at best probably more like 75/25 against if you include all the SoM playerbase. Since neither of us know how many SoM players want to move and how many want to stay. Your assumptions not included.
Well, it’s a Lose-Lose-Win if we’d do as you’d tell us to do, Dottie, i really can’t see much logic in yours, as mine would at least be a win-win-lose, and not a lose-lose-win.
You can’t possibly, in your right mind, thank that yours is the better option nor decision, considering more is lost in the process.
And if you count there is WAY more than those “three or four” players on the forum, not to mention all the in-game whispers and demands, you can’t only count “Forum” as the only place to count, just because it runs in your favor, ask people in-game too, and they’ll also tell you off.
It CAN be a win for Blizzard, considering they can just have people buy Wotlk boosts for their SoM Characters, and allow transfer during Pre-Patch, for players to buy boosts and therefor use it.
Dude, less players? It’s quite literally dead, not to mention the rapid decrease when Pre-Patch hits, then there is NOTHING to make raids from, not to mention the already 3-4 disbanded guilds during 1 week.
While my assumptions is quite accurate, why do you think your assumptions are more realistic/reasonable than mine? So far i’ve counted, i can see way more people on this forum, aswell as in-game, want us to be able to move, and not only from Forum Posts, but overall in total, to allow transfers during Pre-Patch, it’d even line up PERFECTLY with my statement above, for my reason(s), why we should be able to, during pre-patch. - Which reminds me, put “reputation” grind ontop too.
Wow, that’s selfish.
Looking out for the majority is selfish? I highly disagree homie, either you can go lose-lose-win, or go win-win-lose, and the REAL and reasonable mindset, would almost everytime go for the one, that does the least damage, which would be win-win-lose.
Prove to me it’s the majority and I’ll shut up, your guesses don’t count.
It’s ironic, cause your so “Guessing” is allowed, but my “Guessing” isn’t? Alright, lowkey hypocritical, but kk.
My guess is based upon people actually joining a realm and wanting to stay there until the end.
I’d bet you would have left TBC firemaw if you were playing there.
But where is the proof? That is also pure guess work, you don’t get it, do you? You are doing the literal same as i do dude, but you say you are in the right, while i am in the wrong. It makes literally zero sense.
And i wouldn’t care dude.
