Some possible solution for make classic pvp better

Hi everyone, i have playing a lot of PVP classic and now after some month of thinking and discutting with ranker, i have some solution to make better pvp for horde and alliance!!! if you can read all, tell what do you think about that (sorry if i speak an average english).

So the most thing than people don’t like in pvp are :

-AV for alliance
-Queue time in AV for horde
-Premade vs pug for both faction

So here my (“Solution”)

-Premade vs pug :

We all know than pug vs premade is not really fun for all, pu guys just get stomp in 6 minutes and premade who are facing all time get bored (but it’s stay good for honor)
The esay solution for that will be to make different queue (pu vs pu and prem vs prem) but it’s a little bit harder than that:

  • if we just make that there will be very the majority of premade will queue in pu because they get more honor , so longest queue and harder honor for people who premade
  • So people for people who are botting/leeching afk it will be more esay to have more honor than real player (and some class will be able to make more honor than other)
  • The friends/guilds than queue some times together will not be able to do that anymore because they will face r12+ premade from Gehenass

So “the solution” were to make different queue but to make all premade stay in that queue (bad preamde…), premade vs premade queue should give more honor than pu vs pu (for exemple double honor), so even the bad premade will still queue for that and bot/afk… will be less effective (bot and afk are real problem for ranking, i know some server were bot were first for month, so real player weren’t able to rank up)

-AV

So now AV, we all know than AV isn’t a good BG now : 98+% lose for alliance and 1 hour+ queue, what cause it :

for me it’s a lot of factor, the principal for me is the map who are making basically a lot of horde win; because of the map, it makes alliance ranker/good player queue for AB/WSG, it makes a bad mentality for alliance player who think (for good/bad reason) they can t win without luck, and so we have an alliance side with non-motivated player, rep farmer, and semi-afk people which make falling even more the alliance winrate.

I don’t find really good solution to solve av problem but here are the possibilities that I have read / think

Actually after month of lose, they are not really good solution possible, those who are “possible” will be :

-Change of the map/change the side (more normal change): Some change can be done for make the map more balanced (the principal think would be change druids location/make people res at cave if they are not GY left), but where we are that change will maybe make more win for alliance, but i think the people will still have the same mentality (it’s normal), and it will stay the same problem for both side, and after all it’s probably impossible with a map like av to make an balanced map

-More peoples in premade : Another change would be to allow player to make bigger premade in AV (10-40…), it will make a lot of good player play together,
and if the fact that say than the map is balanced and that the players are the problem is true, a lot of premade will make them team win, so better mentality for alliance player so more balanced winrate in final if that theory is just (but it will make some game have the same problem than WSG/Arathi : some premade stomp pu (and more if it’s horde premade))

-Make a possibility for horde to queue for ally side : if the fact that say than the map is balanced and than alliance players are the problem is true, so making a lot of player from horde queue for alliance will balanced the map, shorter queue for horde, and highest winrate for alliance (with horde player), the only bad thing about that solution is that it would be inconsistent with the lore of the game

-Make player face bot (not real solution but i make that here for fun) Bot against horde : instant queue and same winrate, bot for alliance : better winrate and fun BG (funnier than actually), they make some event in retail where there was normal people vs bot (in arathi), the only big problem with that would be than it will not be pvp anymore and than it would be too esay to make honor, even more than premade vs pu.
The bot solution would be cool for aalliance side even with a bot mode without rep/honor just to have some fun.

So if you managed to read me so far what do you think of everything i said

Yes a lot of people wants change, and even and they have make change.
And even if it’s the recreation of old game it don’t mean they can’t have change to make the game better

They already has you can que on AV for your liking at retail and btw i play bgs for hear this one simple line: “Wow we did really good against a premade.” Get off really with your “solutions” on a “problem” with your fancy long post of course you like to write to solve your own made problems.

The only acceptable changes would be to hand out harder punishments for non participation, giving us one of the vanilla iterations of AV, or removal of cross realm battlegrounds. Unfortunately, I don’t think any of those will happen.

Also, I’ve never seen anyone use A2 and H2 as abbrevations for alliance and horde (I assume they mean that) before. Are those French abbrevations that makes sense in French?

Then they can play retail; an ever changing game. Not classic, a monument to an old game.

Your subjective version of the word “better” is irrelevant. “Better” for you is worse for somebody else.

Alright, that’s one thread whitewashing counterarguments like they never existed since I wrote this:

Classic pvp is ok as it is. They should just fix spell bathchin and maybe the shammy double crit “bug”.

But even with that :poop: in I still love it. Approaching 78k honorable kills and counting :slight_smile:

The solutions are simple:

Enforce premades: this will solve any complaints about pugs whining about premades, everyone is on equal grounds. This will also solve any botting issue.

It also removes x-realm teammatching, so lack of participation will hurt your reputation as it should in a social game like wow.

Having auto-matching for pvp is for some reason OK, but having it for raids (LFR) is a strong no, which the only difference is that raiding gives more loot for less work.

AV:
Needs a complete overhaul to be a good bg; the other bgs do too but it’s not as severe there. For map balance it needs to be mirrored (WSG is not mirrored due to the massive impact the object differences have on jumps).

Dib : Yes alliance can have the av they want on retail but it’s not a reason to let classic at this state, and not it’s not solve my problem because i just don’t play anymore classic pvp i’m already 14, if i made the topic it’s just to present some solution than can make everyone happy; and if you like to win vs prem with being a pu in my solution of different queue you can the right to queue in that preamde vs premade queue with being a pu

Miylee : if they want to play retail, they would play retail, and there wont be problem, also i don’t really want these change to happen but honnestly i think it would just make the game better than actually, and i would be curious to know how this would make the game worse (except for the bot solution)

Nah it does not make me happy as i see no problem of current state of wow classic, if you are playing only pvp for ranks its cool i play for skillz

The solution to most of the PvP issues: TBC

Get’s rid of the massively flawed ranking system that created the honor grind meta’s and you will have solved majority of issues.

it’s your opinion, but personally i don’t think than battleground require a lot of skill in pu vs pu (apart things like drood fc…)

Not a bug, this feature was removed half way through TBC.

After i don’t say the solution i said are perfect, personnally i think it make the game better but it’s just an opinion

As far as I know Blizzard have never confirmed or denied that it is a bug. But common, to be real here. It is obviously not intended. BUT with that said, many bugs and quirks became part of the whole Vanilla experience and should not be fixed even if they were a bug. If this bug/feature is one of those, I donno, probably.

EM works exactly like mages shatter combo and it was change in tbc so its 100% authentic.

Elemental Mastery: It is no longer possible to get two consecutive guaranteed critical strikes from using this ability

Is a bug, they are just waiting for TBC to fix it. Tooltip doesn’t say crit the next two spells does it.

Comparing it to shatter is a false equivalence.
