SOME Wow players are the most toxic i have seen in 40 years of gaming

No, because i like doing dungeons and i like all the challenges that come with it.

Listen, in dungeons i shut my trap, i dont say a damn thing based on past events listed above and hope we time the key. It is that simple. I do my best as far as healing is concerned and do the thing.

The only difference between all previous dungeons/keys/interactions is that in the keys that i am doing there are far too many who refuse to learn how to do stuff.

So those people are startign to impact the fun of others.

0 is a 10 now. Dont forget. So when people in 5’s cant do mechanics and brick keys as far as timing them i dont always want to stay. Especialyl if all they do is moan about heals and fail themselves all over the place.

Read the forums lately? You think i am the only one moaning about this?

I dont mind taking on some of the responsibility of getting us to the end as healer. That is a given if you chose that role. A certain amount of help is needed on their part and some players help me when i suddenly get a heal or attention from another player.

Let me tell you. The amount of times this actually happens, where another player heals or interactis with me, is rather rare as most are intent on keepingthemselves alive. I am not a selfish player and for most of the dungeon runs i have zero hots on me. Most of the time i run around pretty much naked with no hots.

DPS players, even if they have the ability to heal and save healer to save the key, only act in rare cases. It is only in the later keys, what used to be above 10, that you start seeign altruistic bahvior as they see the benefits of helping the group get past a certain struggle.

Altrusism is a trait you not very ofen see in a wow players. I would go as far as sayign that all healers almost are liek that bt default.

In real life i am one of the most generous people you would ever come across. Generous in terms giving time, info, knowledge or help with things that you might have issues with.

Cross me and we have a problem. Well, you do. For life. there is no coming back from that.

Ok, thats fine, if you want to live the pug life then thats your choice

Wrote an entire Bible to one simple reply and didnt dare reply to the other posts because you dont dare to admit you were wrong. A classic.

That has to be the single most wannabe hardass reply i have ever seen on here, and that from a 40+ year old person… I would expect that from a 16 yo…

Somehow I highly doubt that.

Watch out, we have a badass over here.

We are all doomed! DOOMED I SAY!!!

The internet taught me that some people need consequences for them to behave decently. It was never part of their upbringing and the anonymity made them feel untouchable. Earlier days people got blacklisted, in the real world you might get punched and i’m convinced that some people only behave nice because of those consequences.

Isn’t this entire thread evidence to the contrary?

It was. So please do no sent death threats and vile crap, which i wont read anyway due to the filter taking it out ,when i leave the key due yo your, not you personally, failure.

You, as in them. Not you.

But the fact remains that sometimes abuse it hurled your way after you leave keys, or cos they dont like your mog so they kick you and then tell you they kcicked you cos they think your mog was not cool.

And it is these peple i refer to in this thread and i stated that up above, yet far too many here seem to want to think i am addressing them. As if there is some sort of collective guilt trip on their bahlf going on for their past misdeeds.

I did not mention any of their names nor would i as that is, sadly, not allowed here. It should be. We have rio but cant name the people that are deserving of being scritinized for their ingame behavior.

Ive lost it myself a few times and been a nasty person. I not without guilt myself. I am not this angel. But usually in the very few cases i did that i was provoked.

Unless you’ve finished Battletoads and ninja gaiden 1 and 2 you’re skillless

What about Hello Kitty Island Adventure

Sadly thats something that comes with the pug life. Just report them and move on to the next group. Dont think there’s anything else that can be done about it. People wont change, there will always be toxic people out there.

All I’m going to react to:

…yeeaaahh…no.

Seeing the attitude you show in this thread in general…no, sorry, but just no.
You won’t accept this, I know, it’s the same with everyone acting like you.
You’re everything but rational.

You are right. That was a given,

Based on the very defintion of rational, i have to say i was. I am sorry that you wrong people cannot accept, nor see, that you are wrong.

My guess is that is as far as this wil go with some of. Ok. Next?

I wrote a piece advocating the positives of a comprehensive compensation package to those that lost items in the recent guild bank fiasco. It is the latest blue post.

I tried my hardest to convince blizzard to see things my way. If you, any of you, feel like adding to that, feel free.

The WoW community is alright. I have been pugging most of my keys for years now, and the vast majority have been a pleasant, or at least neutral experience. Now, that doesnt mean that toxicity doesnt exist. It certainly does, but in no way to the amount some posters are claiming here. Personally, I am convinced that if you regularly encounter toxic behavior, you are bringing that on yourself in one way or another

I feel you. I’m probably as old as you and i remember the old muds. Also, i played on other mmorpgs before WoW was up. It was easy to make friends and have fun, there was no youtube nor websites to teach us how to play. Same was vanilla WoW and even Burning Crusade. Ater that, this game became a run run run, go go go with toxic players joining. My best memories are those where my guild learnt how to complete the various dungeons. We died a lot and nobody complained.
It’s useless to complain here, people are the same ones you find in game and it says it all.
Also, see outside the game how bad has become our society and you cannot really expect it to be better online where everybody is hidden behind a keyboard…
And now i expect the worst answers

Ye, it is funny isnt it?

They act like the game is terrible cause of the community to the point they have to disable in game chat.

Then when they interact here it becomes clear as day why they have problems on a consistent basis.

Can you share some of what your smoking dude, I mean really! Thats got to be some fantastic cope. All I have had from Wensday till today is nothing short of hell, Pugging in M+ am basicly paying to be called all the names under the sun and for what ??? I pug keys to relax and have fun and between begging for items and being told I have been reported for “not giving loot someone needs coz I have better” Oh btw I couldnt have traded anyway as it was soulbound…

Am so fed up trying to progress in any kind of meaningfull way as a pug, its just not worth the hassle when ppl cant do basic interupts and tanks don’t know when to run away from bosses, you know who you are!!!

but really if your experance is sooo wonderful let me know what sever your on coz am joining you in paradise

I can only tell you what my pug experience has been since I started m+ in Shadowlands. I ve never been called any names, the only conversation that usually happens is a “hi” at the start and a “gg” at the end.
People begging for loot is annoying, but usually a simple “sry, cant trade it” ends any discussion that could occur. And people not kicking or generally messing up is annoying for sure, but it isnt toxic. Just bad players playing bad, or people who are generally in over their head.

Im probably on the lucky side when it comes to encountering toxicity - but what I stand by is, that if toxic groups are an every day thing for you, theres a good chance you are at least part of the problem. Not you personally of course, I dont know you, but more generally.
