Somehow, Legion was some people's favourite expansion

I’m saying that about WoD it’s because of people like you that the spec got removed some whiny little s*** that couldn’t handle not spamming his epic chaos bolt rotation or afk drain soul praying to everything for RNG shards to pop because Demo was top dps for BRF from a high-end guild whined to Ion he doesn’t like demo so they decided to overhaul the entire thing. Idc that you like this current trash demo why should something good and fun for many people be removed just like that in a video game that’s supposed to be fun? I know a lot of people like current demo but most of them have never touched old demo or again played it for a few minutes and just went back to the other 2 specs because they were simpler. Your opinion doesn’t matter if you haven’t mained old demo “HURR DURR I SPENT A FEW HOURS PLAYING IT AND I HATED IT I’M SO GLAD EVERYONE THAT LIKDE IT GETS TO SUFFER NOW WHILE I ENJOY THIS ITERATION THAT’S SO MUCH BETTER!11!111”. Screw you.

Because it was a mess. Sorry to burst your bubble but it was simply a mess, it was created because we did not have demon hunter class and blizzard admitted it was suppose to be prosthesis of demon transforming class.

It was boring and overly complex, i get why people might like it but clearly blizzard did not agree. And for me, current demo is the best spec ever created.

Yea, thanks but i prefer having the mop/wod system back, with pvp vendors and dedicated pvp gear. It they add multiple tiers to accomodate rating increases offering some progression, then fine, but apart from that, they need to design the pvp system for pvp players in the next expansion, not like the fiasco in bfa, designing it for pvers who then don’t use it, with dumb rng and infinite grinds.

And fyi, yes everything i write is my opinion, not the absolute truth. It’s ridiculous to try to claim otherwise for anyone, and it’s just as ridiculous to come write that in a reply. Well duh, it’s an opinion forum.

You can prefer all you want but If I was right about the reason they removed it, you won’t get it back. Being able to target specific pieces was just too damn good.

Not when you try to back up your opinion with “majority”.

Are you a psychic now? Like most things, if we manage to complain long enough and loud enough about it, we just might get the good system back. It’s how things work. I, for one, am glad that the bfa pvp system is receiving so much negative feedback and the top rated pvp players have joined the rest in asking for the same thing, it’s not exactly something that happens often.

Like people who complained about TF got corruption which is milion times worse?
No it really doesn’t work that way. Now try to put yourself in shoes of other groups of players and you will see why gear vendor was broken.

You do focus solely on the negative here bud. There was a lot of good there too (I think).

Plus, I didn’t mind the AP grind that much, once full, here was no real need to continue that tbh.

Now BfA, has that, and essence grind and now a new grind. I don’t know what they’re thinking, but with BfA, playing alts will give you a burn out.

It’s not a perfect system mate. Sometimes it works. It might work out with finally getting rid of titanforging too, they said they won’t continue the corruption thing in Shadowlands. So it might still work. You know what they say, corruption was merely a setback. However, there are two prominent examples when it did work so far: Classic WoW and flying.

I do, and with vendors and the proper pvp system of WoD, at the end of the day, PvE gear was the best gear for PvE and PvP gear was the best gear for PvP. Which is more than you can say for BfA. Which made it a superior system.

You also forgot they introduced demon hunters!

Did you even read the message you’re quoting?

4th line in his post mate.

Wrath and the Argent Tournament would like a word with you…

However, since MoP this seems to be the expansion that people liked playing the most looking back on it in hindsight. Talking of MoP, supposedly that expansions was the height of class content yet you’d not believe it if you were on the forums during that period.

Everything is subjective, heck, I even enjoy BFA when I get the chance to play.

I loved legion. it was so cool, the artifact weapon skill lines were cool too, my only issue was with legion is teh endless AP grind none the less i loved the rest of it.

What? Titanforging was miles better, and complaints got us something worse. Flying did not work as they are still struck with pathfinder.

They you really don’t if you dont understand implication of having free handout gear vendor.

Titanforging was an abomination. Maybe so in this new corruption thing, I don’t know since I am not playing retail atm. But this corruption is going away, that’s what Ion said. And I doubt the flying peeps wanted to be grounded for good, I think they would prefer pathfinded.

I don’t want it to be free mate, not freer than pve gear is. At the end of the day, each can ask what they want from the game. The way I see it so far is simple: no decent pvp gearing system, no dineros for blizzard.

It wasn’t free though. You had to PvP.
A random battleground is mathematically harder than a mythic dungeon even.
How often do you NOT clean a dungeon, disband before killing the last boss?
How often, in comparison, do you lose a battleground?

You only lose in M+ once you reach the highest key numbers - and by that time, your current gear should already be above what PvP vendors grant you anyway.

Let’s not pretend here this wasn’t a problem. They acknowledged the issue by revisiting the system over three times (!). The original plan was, according Ion, that you have several Azerite-pieces in your bags, constantly changing them. At the same time most of the traits were under performing which is why they added new ones with the 8.1 patch, don’t you remember?

The only bad thing about the weapon-system in Legion was the RNG towards the Legendaries but not the concept itself, which was one of the main flaks they got.

In general, I would recommend you to check out the initial interviews. One of them is the infamous AMA on reddit. Really, I encourage you to read the first interviews after they released the expansion.

It was nowhere near as bad as with tier sets which azerite gear directly replaces. First of all you could not buy tier sets for any currency at all. Second it was only available to raiders. Third if your set sucked, you had no choice at all you had to stick with it regardless of your preference. So yes it is still improvement.

No, there were multiple issues with legiondaries and weapon. Aquisition, softcap, artifact being overpowered compared to the rest of the gear, making iconic weapons common, not being able to switch weapons, not having any interesting traits once you were done on the main “tree” which ultimately didn’t have any choice.

And the worst of all = being a rental power gear which has backlash now in BfA cause once you lost that rental power, you class may feel a lot slower.
