Toxic person in Dungeon, intentionally stressing our Tank with “GoGoGo” mentality. We basically say, “yo chill”. He said “I won’t, learn to play”. Voted for, removed, getting mad in whispers, threatening us to be reported.
Some things never change, but good that misbehaving still can be punished most of the time. Hope this player learns some manners considering he was removed before we reached the last boss of the Timewalk.
Group are “Go Go Go”, tank is tanking a walk in the park. Vote 2 Kick, a good tank arrives. Group sticks together for the 5 TW’s weekly.
Personally, I think there needs to be some “No New Players” Mode put into dungeon finder. It will vastly improve the experience of both new and experienced players alike.
Whilst I welcome new players to the game, I have an expectation of performance (which is shared by many others) when using Dungeon finder. We want to get our 5 TW’s done as quickly as possible to get our weekly chest.
If someone is slowing us down, that’s actually quite upsetting. Having some kind of filter would be appropriate for everyone involved. Newer or slower performing players aren’t on the receiving end of players upset about having their time wasted. And more experienced players who want quick content don’t get slowed down.
Technically there is. The guide flag. But it’s only symbolical. It should actually filter people based on goal. Flag enabled means you want to play with new players, flag disabled means you want to play with veterans.
It could be that simple. Yet it isn’t…
That’s on you tho. If your expectations aren’t in line with what the tool is designed for.
The tool is designed for quickly running dungeons without having to put a group together yourself.
I would say the vast majority of players I meet in Dungeon finder (especially on a Wednesday) wants to just get their Weekly quest done quickly . And the dungeons are more often or not run seamlessly.
At the weekend, it can slow down a little. But the rule has always been never to PUG on a Friday or Saturday.
Personally as a general rule, if someone is slowing us down, I’ll initiate a V2K. If group decides to keep them, I’ll carry on and leave at the end of the session. At the moment V2K is the only filter we have.
Idk man, sounds pretty intolerant in that section of content for me.
You know there is a section in the LFG tool called “Custom”? Maybe use that to find like-minded players instead of brute-forcing your way through others experience?
That’s not being intolerant. That is having expectations.
We’re all here paying money to be entertained. There is no harm in having an expectation that you are surrounded by a similar quality of player and having an option that I can switch on or off to choose experience and skill levels is a fairly simple to implement system.
You mention “Custom”. If you make or search a M+ group you can set a certain M+ rating and the system will automatically filter out players below that rating. I actually use it all the time when searching for my weekly 10’s on my main.
There should be a similar feature in the dungeon finder tool without having to make a pre-made custom group. There is no need to form a custom group when all that is needed is a click of a button.
I’m purely making a suggestion which will improve the experience for everyone. You’re the one coming across as intolerant. After all, you V2K’d someone who was just trying to get their Weekly quest done quickly and efficiently.
Sure, you have your expectations. But so do others as well.
You can’t complain about newbies going into a dungeon finder, expecting to learn/experience the dungeon clashing with your veteran expectations of “getting over with it” quickly.
