For druids they need to design different forms, because for every race, every form is unique. That’s probably the hardest class.
For shamans they also need to design unique totems. Which should not be hard, but still.
Paladins feature unique mounts, so it’s not just assign random mount.
Overall I agree with you. Blizzard is incredibly slow when it comes to simple things that should not take that much time. I can only assume that their proprietary tools are archaic and their artists spend 100x time compared to other engines.
Personally I have 3 ideas/thoughts on what happened.
It was silently given up on when they released Dracthyr Evoker, a race which can only be one class and class that is only accessible to one race AFTER they announced the all classes for all races
It damages the existing world building too much, which was one of the mistakes Shadowlands made and they might not want to make it again because of the dire state worldbuilding is already in (again thanks to shadowlands)
All classes all races came from the era of Steve ‘Necromancy isn’t exclusively death magic’ Danuser, there’s a high chance they just raised the carpet and shoved it under there along with the shadowlands narrative which is hardly even touched on anymore nowadays

About as sensible as lightforged warlocks I’d say, so not very sensible
I’d like to say its only nelves and belves because those are the ones who were trained by Illidan who is the first demon hunter after all and IIRC there has been no lore about new DH’s being trained (why would you swallow a demon soul to become one when there’s no demon army breathing down your neck right?)
I will say that a lot could be forgiven with class skins, give the void elf the paladin class for example but lock him into a class skin where its all purple and void themed so they become more of a void knight then a holy knight and I’d say yeah why not
but without the class skin I would argue its a bad idea
some restriction makes sense. undead or velf pallys for example. i imagine theyre working on it, it just takes time and theyre focused on the expansion atm which will likely come out before more combos unless they come with the expac and just havent been announced yet

with the current specs as they exist I’d say forsaken druid is a weird one too
Drust druidism which is more about the death and decay part might fit them tho but none of that is represented in the current playable druid so; not at all or would need a class skin

next week people will ask to blizzard to stay in Vulpera form but want “Blood Elves” in the tooltip because “reeeee blizzard i cant identify myself as an elve with my vulp character”

Instead of asking void elve paladin or something, just ask for high elves, you ll have your elve paladin in the alliance and we can reroll together.

It won’t be. The Celestials don’t give blessings that result in shapeshifting. Besides, Ironhide brew and other similar techniques for heavy tanking are long known.
