or - crazy idea i know
you can just git gud and clear whole thorgast
This game is legit about raids thou. No reason to make anything mandatory around it. There is a reason so many people love classic despite its outdated mechanics. The number one thing the majority of players wants is new raids and to just go in and do the raid. That is how people always have been playing wow that is why wow went from 14 million subs to 1 million subs. Coz they forgot what people actually wanted to spend their time on raids.
How can you possibly defend the mindset of Blizzard forcing players to take part into game modes they simply do not enjoy?
There’s nothing wrong with expansion features giving good rewards. But there’s something wrong with them being the ONLY source of a mandatory reward.
It’s not about Torghast being too difficult. It’s about Torghast being boring. A boring, mandatory chore that has to be repeated every single week.
I did already. I never failed a single Torghast run.
It still bores me to death. It’s still an annoying chore. I’ve had exactly 0 fun in successfully completing Torghast.
Yes, I miss the days when the main feature of expansions was the new dungeons, raids and bg/arena maps.
They should honestly stop introducing new features, they’re always garbage, and most people would just like to have fun in the regular game modes they’ve loved for more than a decade now.
Yea, and then there will be people saying why they have to pay for same stuff but with different skin and what not, u cant please everyone…
You can though.
You could have Torghast as a feature that rewards valuable items and currencies WITHOUT it being mandatory for those who do not like it.
This way, you have a good incentive to play Torghast, but you can skip it if you hate it.
Yea but u still miss point a lot, spaming dungeons or pvp rewarda soul ash, why? How does it work? It makes sense it drops in thorgast, in maw, where souls are locked, but in other content? Thats why its tied to a specific feature, so it all makes sense.
And like i said, there will always be someone who aint happy
Dungeons and BGs grant you anima. How do you get anima from fighting in Arathi?
The same “logic” applies. Gameplay mechanic trumps lore sometimes.
Because so far, anima can be found in everything, so even in “players” aka bgs wins.
Meanwhile soul ash comes from thorgast only(and mission but those are non reliable).
I agree that lore doesnt always (have to) make sense, but my point still stands, they wont make one of main new features of expansion useles just because someone aint happy
I don’t like it. Stop asking Blizzard to make the game easy for you just because you don’t like the content. This is a game. If you play Witcher 3 do you also expect to be able to defeat the last boss by herbing because you don’t like combat??? Just QUIT. Do it.
This is why we can’t have nice things.
one of the best, EVER, PVE ideas they implemented enters live which requires skill and is fun to do.
Week one and it’s overtuned for some bosses which eventually can be fixed.
Already people complaining about not wanting to do torghast, because they died in it and is too frustrating to die apparently.
Life is all about problem solving and these people are crying like dogs just because they cannot do it alone or died. Make a group with someone and fix the issue yourself like an actual adult. Even Fortnite players don’t whine like this, it’s embarrassing.
Go and watch Preach’s videos form half a year ago. I was exited like a little kid for christmas to play that kind of Thorgast.
But alas. Blizz being Blizz had not faith in their content or their customers and decided that it had to be turned into mandatory “playtime metric”.
I know about infinite levels.
I was excited too, but let’s face it. They most likely failed at balancing it. Would i still want to see that be part of the game? Yes. But i understand why they took it away.
As for torghast itself, we just have 2 wings open now, for 3 levels. There’s a lot more to come. Including an endless one (Which most likely isn’t endless and is still a very limited number of floors run, but still).
I dont.
It was the perfect oppurtunity to test the games limits.
There was no need to give a flying about balance in there.
Put a disclaimer at the door that anything past floor X is untested and
that stacking too many anima powers might crash your game and call it a day.
Wait. The endlles one isnt even open yet?
Gotta get people subbed for a second months i guess.
The plan, as far as i know, is to open all the wings after the release of the raid which happens next week.
So we’ll most likely get it next tuesday/wednesday.
I’m sure they will do something like this…
In 9.3.
As a rogue who is ash capped but havent yet made a leggo… and doing m0 and bgs i dont feel to far behind.
May be instead of demands if you would watch some torgast guide or asked a better players help you would have leggo by now
I stated multiple times already that I cleared all wings on my first try and I never failed Torghast.
I don’t find it difficult. I don’t find it challenging.
I just find it boring and way too time-consuming.
you got lucky.
I ran it multiple times.
Some bosses are super easy to deal with. Some were nearly impossible to beat. And i’m a death knight with lots of sustain too. But the damage was just too much.
I had a case of a boss 3 shotting me with 3 one second casts that he spammed over and over and over. Even if you interrupted one, he’d immediately spam the next. and 3 bolts are enough to kill. I’d call this overtuned.
Besides, what do you expect? We’re at lvl 3 only. There are other wings and higher levels of difficulty. you’ll get your challenge later.
