Being on Pyrewood and the like, it’s clear that a Spanish server is needed. The Spanish playerbase seem to be often incapable of speaking English, or if they are capable, flat out refusal. Constant messages in General and Trade/LFG in Spanish. This creates a negative atmosphere as the vast majority of the server doesnt understand what is being typed.

Premeptive Callback on this one, it’s not bigoted/racist/xenophobic to want people to speak a Common language. It would serve both the English-speaking population and the Spanish to have a Spanish server. There are clearly enough Spaniards for atleast 1.

It’s a mark of respect to the place you’re playing in by speaking a language people understand. Having a large column in the game that doesnt speak the language of the server, and goes rogue is negative for the server community and creates an us/them scenario, which is just negative. They would be better off on Spanish servers being able to speak Spanish without worry.
They should either make a Spanish server, or enforce a strict English-only policy.

It’s not -just- about Respect. That’s a part of it. The main contention is the introduction of a large sect that doesnt communicate with the rest of the server, is not communicable with and the ghettoising of a Server.
It’s the same reason we have German and French servers.

Alot of the spanish community doesn’t even speak English, or does so very very poorly. Are you saying they shouldn’t be allowed to write in the game?
If Blizzard won’t add a spanish server, they should at least be banning all the racists complaining about them. It’s not their fault they don’t get their own server. But it’s peoples fault for flaming them cause they don’t understand what they are saying.

Because most have little to no knowledge of the english language.

I understand the need to communicate in the game but if they’re not talking to you and you have no need to talk to them, I don’t see why it matters what language they speak.

You didnt read my post.
It isn’t at all racist to suggest people speak a common language. It benefits everyone if we all speak the same language. That language should be of the server - English.
I would say the same about French and German realms, and I did back when they didnt have their own servers. Guess what? Germans and French are the same race as English people if you didn’t know.

Spanish here, Horde side. I literally saw five chats messages in spanish: four at the first hours of launch (they were looking for guilds and more spanish players) and one whisper to me cuz my char name is spanish and so easy to identify.
If they use the chat to find other spanish players I don’t see any problem. I understand it’s a problem if they spam spanish everytime and disturb the chats, but I don’t think it’s that case.
Give them a few weeks to meet each others and join spanish guilds, then you will have purist-english channels.

You’re basically saying they should be mutes, not communicating.
But all they’re really doing is writing “Spanish guild looking for people”
and “Looking for spanish guild”
So they can communicate in spanish, without all you kids flaming them.
Give it some time for them to join guilds and stuff, or wait to see if blizzard makes a server.

That’s a good point to take into consideration.
Although i would like to add, through my profession i’ve been pm’ed for either purchases or questions (I’m not 100% sure) regarding it in spanish when advertising my products in Trade chat. I unfortunately cannot speak spanish so it creates a barrier and wastes both mine and the spanish players time.
I agree. People are just trying to stir it up. Spanish people could do with their own servers.

I’ve worked in Germany for an English company and i’ve worked in Norway at a hotspot for german fishermen, and you’d be surprised. A lot of people from Germany, just doesnt speak a lot of english.
