Spanish server NOW

So France has 4 realms, Germany 8. The French population is 60 something million, the German 80 something. The Spanish population of 46 million (56 million able to communicate in Spanish if you include the 10 million from Portugal, whose written language is 89% grammatically similar according to Wikipedia).
You’d think they have the numbers to, at the very least, sustain a healthy population on one pvp and one pve realm.

 oh the discrimination card, continue - continue. History has shown that using that card rarely ever works. Basically due to the fact that it is not even discrimination.

Of all the points given, not a single one made complete sense or was impossible to counter.

Everything for the chupa chups is discrimination

It’s a bit funny that there are barely any spaniards making these threads, it’s just salty people on firemaw who think they can get better queue times if they deal with “the spanish problem”

Well actual Spanish players are also asking for a realm and it does baffle me that Blizzard never thought to open one, considering there are thousands of them. Unfortunately I get the feeling that this horse has now bolted and it may be too late to open a Spanish server, unless they offer free migration to it. Only Spanish-speaking players would take up on that offer, so it’d be a win/win.

In the meantime expect Spanish in general channel, and remember that it’s not their fault they didn’t get given their own realms. I really do want to know Blizzard’s justification for not adding at least 1-2 Spanish realms, considering we have them for Retail.

Just doin´some work and suddenly I thought “Hey wouldn´t be cool if we had a spanish server so we don´t face 9hr queue and brits don´t get mad on us?”

It isn´t have to be localized from day one; take your time, but for now just open a new server clearly indicating that it is a dedicated spanish server and set free transfers for the good ol´ nolifers that are already lvl30

Just give them an spanish servers alredy, why it havent even been done in the first Place, it might aswel solve que issue etc.

Wtf is wrong with you people? Of all the languages most common in Europe, you are behind Russian, German, French, Italian, English and POLISH and just in front of Ukrainian. Don’t be so full of yourself and start making these demands on day 2.

I just hope the give you a Catalan server just to piss you off.

Hello fellow Blizzard companions.
I’ve been a wow player for a very long time, starting back in the days on Spinebreaker server. I don’t know if you recall the times but it can be guaranteed that none of blizzard’s staff would choose the server as a model.
By entitling to your plans and negating word to the community you are creating burden to yourself and the people who play the game.
You are shoutcasting in all directions how important are the social aspects of the game, how important it is to socialize in an open world enviroment like wow’s, how important it is to build a server community. You fill your mouth with words but when it comes to swallow you cut the gut and force the vomit.
Please state why do you translate the game to spanish if you are not going to give support to that language. There is no reasoning in all your claims, there is no way a spanish only speaker can enjoy the game forcing him to talk in english in the way you claim, socializing.

Yeah, english talking is not enforced but advised. Great job, look at all this xenophobia we are encountering at Azeroth thanks to that.

I know you may think you are not responsible for people’s behaviour at your servers, but you are. You are because we’ve all signed your EULA, we’ve all agreed to play by your rules and it is you whose made them. If rules are there to be broken on the user’s or company’s convenience then say so, seeing the toxic commentaries on firemaw server is really disgusting and is against your rules. Start doing something.

Your decissions have only contributed to create hate , and not hate between horde and alliance which could be part of the game. Hate between two real communities, the british and the spanish, and you are doing nothing to solve that (create a sp server maybe?) or to stop it (ban, ban and ban again).

Back again to the essentials, you have not stated why aren’t there spanish servers. You claim to give support to a language you are not, this should be advised by all means at the time of purchasing basing in the EU’s consumer rights directive. You have spanish customer relations because of that, spanish forums because of that and so on.
Your decission to not put up some spanish servers comes as bold as astonishing as it is.

Spanish is the 2nd most spoken language of the world thanks to our fellow american brothers, I don’t know about them but it would be weird if they didn’t have a spanish based language server over there considering their numbers.

In the end, all of this has come due to bad planification. From two servers to five times that. Announcing name reservation then opening new servers on the last moment. Spanish coalition moving hours before release to a full server, unending queues. Who’s responsible for the field work? You spam our mail but no poll on who would play, yet that w/e 20€ mount image is in my inbox every new retail tier. No poll on if the spanish community really wants a server.

It is not only that you are doing nothing, it also seems like you are doing nothing. A way to treat your customers, as a ret pally in MC (hello quinn). Doing nothing.

So please, start doing something.

I agree with everyone - please open a Spanish server. They’re one of the few western european countries on “English language” servers that often refuses to type in English, it’s quite annoying. Give them their own home!

Blizzard we need you to explain us why you dont make just 1 server for us, at least give us good reasons.

Many of us find it hard to understand English and we need to socialize to advance the game.

Release the data!!! WE WANT THE TRUTH

Spaniards don’t have to know English to interact with other people.
We are tired of you having historically failed us.

Oh get off your high horse, dude.
I am Dutch and I never EVER get a Dutch realm. I don’t want to either, because I want to branch out and meet others, instead of just other Dutchies.

That’s not historically failing you, that’s making a business decision that the Spanish market is too small compared to the rest.
Don’t get me wrong… with this attitude I do hope you end up on your own server so the rest of the world that DOES want to interact with each other can, without interruption.
Because nothing screams “I don’t care about you all!” than just blatantly chatting in your own language in general chat.

I support this request.

One Spanish PvP and one PvE.

How odd… I have seen no discrimination. What I have seen is two people talking to each other in general chat and Spanish on an English server, yesterday. Firstly they were kindly asked to take it to /w or /p, but no reaction.
So yeah, you get backlash on that. It would be the same if two Dutchies, Frenchies, Italians for Czechs would be doing so… point is, they don’t.

Everyone commits to the language rule, but the Spanish sometimes don’t. So no, it’s not discrimination. You set yourself apart in a negative manner and you get reactions to that… this is not discrimination, though people will yell “Taco taco” at you, but your entitlement that is ill-received and poorly reacted to. If I would to that, I will be flamed as well… so I don’t.

I do grant you your own realms, if that is what you feel you need - but please enlighten me: is the issue that most Spaniards don’t want to talk English, or that the average level of English is not good enough to play on an English server?
From what I’ve seen, it’s the first, rather than the second reason.

Not everyone in Spain speaks good English. My daughter-in-law is Spanish, her English is excellent, but at family events she often has to translate, as not all of the family do.

It’s limiting and if there are enough people, I can’t see why they wouldn’t open Spanish servers. There are probably some Spanish people who played ‘retail’ on Spanish servers who would like to play, but don’t because of it.
