Spanish server NOW

It sounds like the most logical thing in the world actually.

If you moved to Germany and don’t want to speak dutch or at least english you are really dmb. Nobody is forcing you to talk in english among other spanish players, we are recommending you to use english in general chats, and then we can understand each others. I think it’s not that hard, just have Google translate open and use it when you need.

You make absolutely no sense.

I’m not saying ā€œBlizzard shouldn’t make a Spanish server.ā€

I’m saying: If you’re on an English server, speak English man!

Also:

If they were, wouldn’t we have had Spanish classic servers by now? Not hating, just stating it.

I’d love for Spanish players to get their own server if they can’t do like the rest of us and just speak English on an English server. But I’d also love to play with Spanish people, provided they do like me, and forgo their native mother tongue and speak English.

Tell me, would you find it enjoyable if every public chat was flooded with words you don’t understand?

When you play on an English server, you’re expected to know and speak English. That, my friend, is logical and rational.

Is about respect. Let the spanish have the rigth to ask for spanish server .

Guess what. Rigth now this is the most used thread , most views and most answers.

My god this thread turned into a trainwreck.

I supported the addition of spanish servers before even coming here, but after reading some of what you have to say I think they are needed so spanish speakers can get away from some of you.

i dont even undestand why u have started your statements.
Only people that want spanish servers should write in this posts.
Why are u complaining so much about itĀæ i dont get it.

Oh dear God my friend, how can you even write this out and not realize the hypocritical things you’re stating?

RESPECT?

You tell me this is about RESPECT? Is it RESPECTFUL to speak Spanish in public chats on an English server? Is it respectful to speak ANY language but ENGLISH in PUBLIC CHATS on an ENGLISH server?

It is not.

I don’t speak Danish in public chats either. It’s DISRESPECTFUL. Because guess what, I’m on an ENGLISH server. Not a DANISH server.

You can ask for a Spanish realm all you want. I’ve never protested that. In fact I’d applaud a Spanish server, as I’ve already stated.

But when you talk about respect while blatantly disregarding how disrespectful you are if you don’t speak English in public chats on an English server, that just discredits your entire persona.

Ok man. I apologize . Lets just stop this. Āæshall we?

It’s not like people hate Spanish players. Just like people don’t hate Russian players or Swedish players. People hate when those players (this is a generalizing statement not spanning just WoW but a lot of European online games on English servers, because this is the reality of it) flood public chats with native languages instead of being inclusive and speaking English just like everybody else… On an English server… In public. Guild/Party/whispers and whatever else doesn’t really matter unless your guildies/party members/friends don’t speak your native language.

The reason they don’t want to open other languages than English and basically French and German servers came up only after the public outrage is because they do not want to hire any staff (GMs, customer support, CMs) to support it and to pinch every pennies out for Big Fat Bobby Kotick’s annual bonus and dividends to Activision-Blizzard shareholders. It has nothing to do with avoiding dead servers or what ever other nonsense.

This is the internet, people are not moving around. Azeroth is not a country with an immigration scheme. Stop freaking acting as if they are ā€œComing to a country and not learning the local languageā€. This is actually the main problem, Blizzard sells a product in Spain, offers absolutely no Spanish servers for their customers. Would Netflix offer movies only in English in Spain? Of course not.

The fact that you guys are here bashing on the Spanish community for asking for a server or two to play on and at the same time schooling them about how ā€œThey should play WoW with google translate open and only speak English in chatā€ says enough about you. Get lost, do you own stocks in Activision or what?

I think the point just flies well over the mental capabilities of the average wow player. I don’t speak Spanish but I encourage them to keep complaining about the absence of Spanish servers and definitely write in Spanish in chat because I think enough moronic anglos complaining might have more of an effect.

The moment the op demands a Spanish server just put it to the bottom of the to do list for the next two years. Demanding something is rude. You need to have manners.

Sure thing. I apologize if I sounded harsh. As long as you understand that I appreciate how Spanish speakers want their own primary language server(s), but hate how they generally act entitled on English servers by flooding public chats with Spanish.

I have nothing against them. I’ve had several friends on WoW who were Spanish, and they were enjoyable players who tried their hardest to communicate in English while playing on English servers. Great people.

I only have issues with Spanish (and literally people from ANY country in the ENTIRE world) who don’t speak English in public chats on English servers.

Obviosly spamming in chat is allways bad. They should create spanish chat for it. Like LFG chat , General chat, etc etc.
Its like ppl asking for layering and spamming in all the chats.
In my case , at this point and because of the spamming i just dont really care; i just delete the chats or even ignore the ppl that spam.

Idk about others, but personally I think that they should play WoW with google translate open if they desperately need that in order to write English in public chats. What they do in private chats doesn’t matter at all to me. If you don’t speak English in public chats on English servers, you’re disrespectful.

I agree with most of your statements though (quoted below)

I agree with most of this statement, except they should definitely keep the Spanish to PRIVATE chats like guild/party/whisper.

My main issue with having to ignore people is actually that my ignore list is full.

I’ve maxed it out in just a few days ignoring Spanish, Swedish and Russian players who insist their native language is the only right thing to use in public chats

If it wasn’t so easily filled, I could’ve probably created a nice environment where I didn’t have to bother with half my server (exaggeration, they’re a minority, but a damn loud one.)

I’m not going to make assumptions about anyone else’s experiences but I will say this:

On my server a turkish guild advertised their guild in turkish in a very short sentence. And players complained about it in english for ten minutes. I ended up reporting three people for racism. Sadly this isn’t the first time I have seen this sort of thing happen.

Sometimes it’s the english speaking players who make a much bigger deal about it than it needs to be.

I’m not saying non-english speakers never take over the chat. I’m merely highlighting that there are intolerant people on both sides.

well i agree with you, I dont understand spamming in public chats; whatever the reason would be.
Im spanish and i prefer to play in english realms cause of the population and cause is a best experience for me.
But as a complain to blizzard i still dont get why in 2019 the dont release at least 2 spanish servers at launch; when they obviuosly had the same problems in the past.

The same reason i dont understand they only opened 2 realms at launch. non sense at all.

Take it easy son, don’t wanna pop a vein.

Yes, and in Europe we used to get by rather well together with English. But apparently today a lot of people prefer to feel offended if they have to make efforts like that.

Yeah, that is the fashion these days isn’t it? Calling everything racist. But as far as i know there is nothing racist about Canadians calling out Canadians.

Just look at the sheer amount of verbal abuse in your reply. Holy crap mate. You really have some issues.

Its 5 mins work on Retail. And this guy has given me so much in return.

Thanks, love you too.

EDIT: Just in case this one slipped you buy completely. Giving every language their own server is ANTI-Vanilla and only works to make the risk of ending up on dead realms bigger.

The same reason i dont understand they only opened 2 realms at launch. non sense at all.

Quoting myself here. Since everyone seems so puzzled by it. Will keep it here for posterity. This can apply to every other major European languages at least.

Do you not think that by advertising a guild in any language, other than English is already intolerant? By doing so, you’re basically saying ā€˜only apply if you can read this’ .

That’s how I would feel if I saw it.
