Specialize with the New Augmentation Evoker

You seem to think that a Class from 3 expansions ago should be getting money spent on them. Evokers are the new Buzz Lightyear and as such WILL be getting all the attention.

It’s interesting, with how they moved away from support classes/specs in the past. I wonder if they want to experiment with it, see how it is received and whether it works in current WoW, and then perhaps add an often requested support class later on, the bard.

I’m very curious how it’ll play out.

Seems like a really cool idea is being brewed up here. Can’t wait to see what will come out as an end-product.

Hopefully the devs will get plenty of coffee and cookies to keep them going at this one :dracthyr_uwu:

Yea but DH are cool and Evokers are lame.

Holy crap thats gonna be a nightmare to balance…imagine even more modifiers in pvp for some classes…

I dont think its a good idea.

I know this sucks as an answer, but in a way I’m so fed up with maximum efficiency, comparable numbers, many classes being pretty much clones by now with all the tweaking and pruning. Personally I’d love it if they’d dare to say: we’re going to focus on fun, on immersion, on classes having a distinct feel and character again, and things may end up somewhat imbalanced. Sorry not sorry.

It’ll never happen, it’d mean too many unhappy people and I do get the unhappiness. But that mindset has gutted something from the game which I personally loved.

They had it ready at launch most likely, but wanted to tie it’s release to story content in the game

Give DH to more races… Blood elves are lame.

I’m surprised they haven’t done that yet. Popular classes should get attention and DH is popular… right

Precisely the crappy attitude they should try to break.

The game should be about teams overcoming objectives, not another PI type whine because you didn’t get it or someone got more.

well tbh… they managed it with things such as Shaman with the quantity of Utility and More that they stack on. Its balancable, the problem is if its Competitive in DPS its going to be a Mandatory pick.

I mean warlocks have upheld that for a long time, so its nothing new to the game. but yeah… this defintly would be Easy to make Overpowered or Underpowered if they’re leaning into support features too much.

as much as i can say sure this is going to be Awkward to balance and will have issues…

no, WoW should never be balanced around “How hard its to log on a 3rd party site”. unique, Class Fantasy and Classes froma Enjoyment standpoint should be above whats “Meta” or “Logs”.

Seriously, WTH @blizz… ?

This Augmentation spec is definetly not heal, and don’t seem to be able to tank.
So the Augmentation will take a place of DPS.
In raid OK, it will improve a decent number of allies.
But in MM+, it won’t heal, it won’t tank, and it won’t DPS…

Instead of doing fancy stuff, you should think about a real range spec Unholy > Necromancer for the Death Knight and new customization for undead pets (but no, you put 20 & 30 feet to the Paladin Ret ), give some range for both spec of the Evoker, give a third Fell caster spec to the Demon Hunter…

eeeh.

They’ve Not stated its going to bring Lower Numbers, nor the % of Addition it’ll add.

If this class is going to add 20% Increased DPS to every player. Sure maybe its DPS is going to be low. but if its adding 7% DPS to players… U’ll see its Likely just never going to be a bleeding Edge DPS And be among the mid packers.

it really depends, on how wild they go with numbers in regards to DPS added to players.

Just because u decided this cant work, Doesnt mean it wont. and tbh, Its better then another Standarde DPS / Tank / Healer as a Concept, its New. it may lead to something And could possibly change up the game abit if it sees success.

If it Doesnt, it dies til a major patch and gets Reworked.

I just want a bard and play music…
:dracthyr_cry_animated:

… or a proper necromancer.
… Or undead druids.
Yez-- YESSSS~ :man_mage:

You don’t even know their toolkit or talent tree but already decided they won’t be dpsing enough to be worth it.

Think about the support Shadow Priest of Burning Crusade… it was ‘meh’ support, didn’t last long, and now it’s just a big caster DPS

Yeah because they function on the exact same premise, right? :joy:

If this augmentation spec produces decent DPS + buff other, what’s the point of Devastation?

Other classes need more reworks or new specs, but instead they dump us a support and augment spec, who can’t go roam quests & Expedition because they don’t have group to buff…
Lot of people expected a black dragonflight Tank spec to bring more resistance for this squishy class… and we get a spec who will need people around to be effective, but still squishy.

Dumb AF. While there is a Paladin Ret with more range than both Devastation and Unholy

Playerbase: “Blizzard the game is stale u need to try something new”
Blizzard: “Hey we’re trying something new”
People like Rotigus “whine whine rabble rabble”

What’s the point of 3 dps spec in hunter, mage, rogue if people are always going for the meta one anyway?

It is another dps spec like many others but, with a different way to produce their output.

Plus again you know some skill but the entire skill tree is basically unknown yet, you cannot have an idea of how the spec is gonna work all around.

The class was designed with 3 spec in mind already, its basically delayed cause of lore. No other class was hurt cause of this spec.

You don’t need a tank spec to add more resistance. Plus ye tank would have been cool but i am gonna have fun like this as well.
