Specialize with the New Augmentation Evoker

This is like saying you can’t fix the fridge because the tap in the bathroom is broken.

I’m sure multiple teams can attack more than one challenge at once. Assuming they agree with your priorities (they don’t)

3 buttons.

Sounds about right.

Unsurprisingly, the meta nature of Lightyear didn’t aid the movie’s box office performance. It only grossed $226.4 million globally and, with a reported budget of $200 million, the Pixar film actually ended up losing money when marketing and promotional costs are factored into the equation.

I mean… arguably; maybe you can’t afford to fix both?
I’m being difficult, I know. :joy_cat:
I just had to “point it out”~

I wanted a black + red tanky dragon healer (not a tank, just a tanky healer like a paladin) that shields/buffs allies and hampers/damages enemies, instead got a dps that loses deep breath so no Onyxia life, is a dps so never will be invited to a pug unlike healer, has nothing about protecting allies so far from revealed attributes save for giving extra max hp, has nothing about red and that’s second after black underdeveloped color, yes, red exists in devoker but reds are both healing and destroying with their flames and yet prevoker has 3 red abilities which underperform on all levels in terms of healing except for the bleed removal one which has 1 min cooldown and you press once a year since there’s not that many bleeds. The class still stays squishy (I still feel tanky with my versatility stacking but stack anything else and you are tissue thin). On top of that they either will make it op and every group will want one, make it underpowered and will be a dead weight or put it a weird spot where it loses only like 5-10% dps to other classes and the support values are too low to care/bother and just gonna be a minor utility of yet another class to hope you get in a group for party buffs like mage, priest, warlock and so on.

Neither of those really feel like a particularly enticing or impactful Spec.

I’m sure Blizz have thrown around many ideas for specs for DH’s over the years. But in all honesty there isn’t really a lot you can do with a class like that which really doesn’t the class justice.

Evokers have only been given a new spec because it suits the place we are at in the expansions story.

The truth is, they were always planned to have 3 specs, but one was gated.

That is very subjective evaluation of our suggestions without any elaboration of “why”.

That is closer to the point - they probably did not have development time before release. But that does not make situation with DH less dire.

Well your suggestion was just a spin on Havoc. Could just be built into the Talent Tree.

The other suggestion was too similar to Hunter.

A new spec should feel impactful and unique, especially for a “hero” class.

I dunno, I give Blizz the benefit of the doubt here. I think adding a further spec to match up with the storyline really works well. It was a good introduction to a new class and a good story to date.

Desire and Need are 2 very different things.

Same can be said for a lot of other specks because they share some similarities (surprise-surprise, given that it’s the same class). Kiting around doing combos with different glave throw abilities will be significantly different experience from trading hits and heal from leech that Havoc have.

It is also an opportunity to make Momentum fun. Currently it is despised by some of the players because it forces you to disconnect from the target. But with ranged version that problem is gone. It might even be a Mastery of the speck - stacking damage on the move. And it fits the class fantasy quite well agile, mobile and elusive to deal with bigger but slower demos like pit Fiends.

First - gameplay should be priority over lore because if game is not fun it’s a bad game and it is not fun when you dead in the water each time when your speck tuned poorly - which let’s face it happens all the time.

Second - they are no longer Hero classes - they start below Allied Race basic class and they can not stay stale. My proposition fits both mechanical requirements and class fantasy ones.

Strange. Neither does Augmentation after over 2 hours on PTR, where other Lizards agreed with me.

This will definitely be my new main spec! I already main dancer in FF14 because it’s a supporty DPS. I don’t like committing to healer, as I’m too stressed for that, but I also still like supporting. So this spec being a support DPS is just what I needed! So happy

So, their mages , druids, and now earth shaman two. Lol

I guess I’ll try it but I think I stay as a Healer

This is my entire take from augmentation spec also, maybe we will eventually get a bard class…or a spec would also work. Just slap it onto rogue as a 4th spec.

The class is still locked behind an ugly looking UwU lizard.

I still love my Dracthyr <3

Only if there’s a ‘‘Headbanger’’ spec.

Oh I’m not invested at all. I don’t play DH and don’t care.
But that doesn’t mean that adding a third spec to a class that had 2 isn’t a big thing overal for the game; it sets a precedent.

It really isn’t something big, as you claim.
This class never was a 2 spec class, pretending otherwise means you are purposely ignoring the facts just to “set a precedent”.

Evoker was designed with 3 spec, they just wanted to experiment with releasing one later, binding it to story develoment. Or you people really think they came up with a spec in less than 4 months (given people started to datamine things in early march already ).
