Spectral tiger solution

Bro stop trolling. You’re mixing in glad mounts which is nowhere near comparable to TCG mounts.

To this day you can get a spectral tiger if you’re willing to dump in fat $$$. This has nothing to do with direct effort, but wallet thickness. This absurd limbo state is nowhere near comparable with the fact people bought dupes for 60k in WoD times, or when it was common enough that people sold it for 20 bucks on third-party websites. This state is what needs to be resolved and once again be in the control of the creators of the game.

Did I say it was?.. I said IF you are to bring back OLD STUFF or STUFF OBTAINED THROUGH METHODS OUTSIDE OF THE GAME, then tie it to something skill based

Objective but OK, why not. Although I think a company like Blizz likes cash more.

Maybe, but I wasn’t responding to Blizzards suggestion, I was responding to yours… It makes (for me) no sense to take a mount only rich people can afford and add it into the game behind another paywall… We pay a monthly sub for gods sake, we shouldn’t advocate for Blizz to put stuff in the game for microtransactions…

If we really do want to add those kind of things back, it should be added back in a way, where people can obtain it through only playing and not take a short cut with your wallet…

Put the tiger in the Trading Post for 10 coins, just like the 2 seated rocket :stuck_out_tongue:

This is a video game. Everything is ‘worthless’, but some things are more challenging to get than others and there is nothing wrong with that. Disgusting entitlement.

Don’t you play by yourself? What do you know about what other people think? Don’t you refuse to join grouped content? How do you know what people whisper or say to others in party chat when they see glad mounts? Weird objective statements about player interaction from somebody that only plays solo content.

It’s very toxic to say that good players deserve to be rewarded? God your entitlement is genuinely disgusting. If you want the rewards, go and earn them while they’re there.

She said something along the lines of ‘things should be there for people to be able to get, not unable to get’. Same concept.

No one actually cares anymore. Mounts at this point are just collectables.

But I don’t think the idea of an “equivalent challenge” in PvP seems that tenable given Blizzard’s lack of effort or dedication to PvP. I mean, the state of a PvP season is pretty much characterized by changes demanded by the masses in PvE and then boom, PvP players are mostly left to their own devices after that.

“You playing a crap spec in 3s? Oh well, not my issue; you’re blasting it in Mythic+!”

If you’re playing a bad spec in PvP (but it’s great in PvE), then you’re likely going to remain playing a bad spec for the remainder of the season. And how much that is going to affect your ability to get good rewards is also influenced by the level of rating inflation (another thing Blizzard also has been criticized a lot recently for their negligience towards). On the contrary, underperforming/overperforming specs in PvE are more likely to receive attention and additonally, those changes are more frequent + happening within the season.

Basically, what I’m trying to say is, Blizzard has more autonomy and incentive (in theory) to make each spec a player can choose from viable for acheiveving rewards in PvE, and less so in the context of PvP. As such, the idea of “equivalent challenge” across seasons is (in theory) more tenable in PvE than it is in PvP, so naturally, a gladiator mount in Season 1 is not likely to have a similar amount of prestige as in Season 2 or whatever, thus enabling some mounts to become potentially “free” in some other, later season. Too random and too variable to really implement this idea on the notion that difficulty will be preserved.

That’s an interesting criticism towards it, I hadn’t considered that so thank you. I feel for dedicated pvp-ers, I wish they got more love and attention. I’m sad with how it has slowly dwindled away pretty much since… Legion or so?

At the same time I’d say that lack of balance has always been present. Whether it’s this class or spec, or that one, something has always been ‘temporarily faceroll’ in pvp. And mounts were gotten by these players too in those days would be my guess

Yep, that is my point. Hence, I can relate to the sense of “entitlement” that people describe it as because… like you said, the state of it is kind of depressing at times! xD

The ‘it’s toxic for players to be rewarded for skill based things and for other people to miss out on those rewards’ starter pack:

https://imgur.com/a/0e6Lq3e

I don’t agree with that statement. If you actually use whatever you were rewarded in the game, I don’t consider it worthless.
But with mounts, most of the time, for me anyway, it’s just a +1. Collect it, add it to the collection, ignore it. For me that’s how it goes for the vast majority of mounts.

I agree with that.
But there’s a big difference between ‘challenging’ and ‘impossible to get’.

Hope you’re not talking about me?

Most of the time, but I group and/or talk when doing activities in busier places. I’m not some frickin’ recluse.

Comments ingame and on the forums.
A lot of people couldn’t care less what others have or do.

Nope.

Again; that’s not how it is. Don’t pass judgement based on what you THINK you know.
Because…

That’s only half of what you said. Nice manipulative quoting there, buddy.

Why don’t you go learn how to be a nicer human being?

Therefore my Gladiator achievements and my exclusive Gladiator mounts that I use all the time, makes this:

Is absolutely redundant and contradictory.

My Gladiator mounts are a reward. I use them all the time. Therefore, worth something. Thanks for the admission.

Not all of them. Gladiator mounts are one of them.

And nothing wrong with some things being impossible to get. If you had the chance to get them and you didn’t, then that’s your own fault. It’s called ‘legacy’.

Oh and comments I receive in game from people learning my spec who see me riding a Gladiator mount and then use that as a means to gain information, tricks and tips since they see I’m actually good shows ME what other people think about these achievements.

Stop being wilfully dense. This is you making objective statements about these achievements.

Why don’t you go learn how to be a skilled player and actually play challenging end game content and then you’d be appreciative of why people who actually did put the effort in don’t want their achievements to be reduced to participation awards for disgustingly entitled chronic forum posters who can’t be bothered/aren’t good enough to achieve it themselves?

P.s. not wanting my efforts and hard work to be reduced to participation prizes has nothing to do with me as a human being. Disgusting comment from you.

No; that’s my opinion. I don’t consider mounts interesting as a reward anymore. At least nog in 98% of the cases. Most of the time I don’t like the look of them or am just not interested because I already have mounts I like using.

I wasn’t speaking FOR YOU. I was speaking for myself.
Something that is quite a normal thing for most people. :grimacing:

And that’s where we disagree.
I think it IS wrong.

Sure. :person_shrugging:

No. If you interpret them as such, then that’s on you.

Because a remark like that isn’t ‘complete and utter fact’. Of course there are SOME people who care. But for the most part, in my experience, people do not care and are not interested in what someone else has. They care about what they themselves have.

I’m more than good enough. And even if I did that content, it would change nothing about my opinion. Because I’m not like that. I want a reward because I like it and want to use it. That is the ONLY reason. I couldn’t care less how common the reward is and how many people also use it.

I think it does.

You started being nasty. You get what you give.

PS: You do know that flagging a post with your alts is against the ToS? And they can see that you’re doing that and they will ban you for it.

wait WHAT???
Spectral tiger was never a reward for skill based something it was i i remember correctly it was a random chance in pack of cards and code or something like that
So please get out with this SKILL based
if you want skill based stuff bring back MoP/WoD challange modes and add them to M+ as a reward for achievement but in different color that i can understand because it was skill based before

Opening a booster pack requires skill man!

Nonono. Not M+.
Something else. Not M+. I don’t want to do M+.

If it’s the case mythic raid mounts should be in same category. I do weeks of raiding progress, arena players are doing 3v3 pvp progress. But are we treated same when it comes to mounts? Nope.

If people can buy mythic raiding mounts from BMAH or %1 chance from bosses after 1-2 expansion, we should be able to get Glad mounts as well.

Oh come on! %95 of the spectral tiger owners had them from AH in WoD only for 20-30 wow token prices. Not even scratching a TCG card, thanks to dupefest. I was expecting dupes to be deleted but they didn’t. There are some dupes left, also a few cards on Ebay.
But being a Scarab Lord was something super hard. "The first player to bang the Scarab Gong and anyone else who followed within 10 hours, mostly only 1-3 people each server, obtained the Scarab Lord title. " from WoWWiki. Something you can’t buy.

I like the idea. It should be an event.

No one really cares what you want
you are very small minority of players playing retails
most of the people are blasting m+ or raids or pvp rated
If yo uscrap that from game you will have 20 people playing SIMS basically and that i can do already in SIMS and it’s better then wow for a transmog simulator

I care!

Ehm, well yeah, I am one person. Of course I’m a minority.
What a silly thing to say.

Have proof to back that claim up?

I… Don’t know what you’re saying.
Sorry.

Bro are you literally the second person who don’t understand what they read? Like come on… xD
