Spell Ranks

I don’t know if this is already posted somewere but what happend with spellranking? if you upgrade a spell it will automatically upgrade your bar.
If i remmember this was not in original wow even not in BC.

I tought they said no changes and they wanted to give us a original experiance!?
And now they are changing it anyway!

Lock spells don’t upgrade automatically on the action bars - you have to choose ranks and drag into them

You learn a new grade of spell and you have to manually change it on your bars

Wll not with my char, it gets upgraded automatically. Or is this different with a Rogue? (Never played Rogue before  )

warriors spells upgrade automatically since the cost is always the same. I´d imagine it could be the same with rogues.
In fact you cant even use lower level spells as a warrior and why would you^^

Like zarcom said it may be just rogues or warrs but now that’s been mentioned on my druid I have to change my spells to new ranks but not my attacks for cat/bear so that makes sense

Anything with a mana cost. Higher rank versions of them cost more mana but sometimes you can do the same job for less. Like mages casting R1 frostbolts etc.

Anything that costs rage or energy (so warriors’, rogues’ and feral abilities) gets upgraded automatically, because Rank N+1 is strictly better than Rank N.

Its because Rogues and Warriors have a static amount of resources (energy and rage which is 100 from leve 1 to level 60).

Casters mana bar increases with level and gear, so new ranks of spells cost more mana to cast each time a new rank is opened for higher benefits. Rogues and Warriors on the other hand have a static amount of resource, so even though they get a new rank doing more damage the cost is the same, in which case there is no point to use a lower rank and the lower ranks automatically upgrade to the highest as you learn it, replacing it on your action bar.
