Since Naxxramas is releasing rather soon in SoM, I’m wondering if any changes will be made to the drop rate of Atiesh Splinters?
It’s likely that P6 will last half as long in SoM as it did in Classic, or even less if WotLK transfers open before the season is officially over. This means that the average time it takes to complete an Atiesh will be way too long if unchanged from Classic (2-3 months?). At that point Splinters would basically be just a worthless keepsake. Hopefully the drop rate is at least doubled.
Has anyone noticed an increase on the PTR so far? Don’t think anything was mentioned by Blizz just yet.
They already did “buff” both the scarab lord chain (double carapace fragment drops) and R14 (made the gear available at launch). By that logic, they should do the same with Atiesh.
Also, what’s the point in being able to bring your Atiesh over to wotlk if your whole guild transfers to a wotlk server before you even complete it?
Imo they should just send every one a free Atiesh in SoM.
Some things should not have changed for example the carapace rep.
I mean there is no reason at all to double the carapace rep since Scarab lord takes 1 week of mass grinding anyway. Specially because it took Som even longer than classic vanilla to open the gates lol.
Same with Atiesh, we managed to farm 3 before tbc came around the corner.
A average atiesh takes about 8 weeks every guild should at least have one.
