so i just did the quests leading to the death of khadgar and destruction of dalaran. what i would like to know now durning the cinematic you see that the staff atiesh gets broken in half. is this blizz their way of saying the staff died with khadgar and will never return to players in retail since it got removed in wotlk expansion?. cuz honesty its long overdue that the staff gets added ingame again and players can obtain it once more. so maybe the staff being broken in 2 and with dalaran blowing up and khadgar dead it could have been splintered into more pieces and scattered across azeroth due to the explosion and players could collect the splinters again like it was in vanilla and fix the staff?. i just hope that they would add the staff back ingame to players now that its current wielder is dead. what are you all their toughts about this?
ofc they have to kill the only good WoW higher tier protagonist.
need more DEI - remove the white old guy.
I bet Khadgar voted tory.
Do you guys actually believe Khadgar is dead?
Everything is just coincidence. Itâs nothing to do with DEI. Not like most of the older and strongest characters are being swapped by women. Not happening yea?
Jokes aside, killing so many good characters without properly developing new ones, keep it up. There is nothing to stand for in this game anymore, nothing to play it as RPG. M+ and raids are only reason Iâm still playing this game.
I hope so. Not because of any particular dislike of him, he was always a solid character, but because him âreturningâ would really cheapen the whole thing. It brilliantly establishes how bigger a threat xal is, having khadgar (or the city) return with a sudden âand now itâs back because we did a mcguffinâ would really take away from that.
Donât worry, Iâm pretty sure we will have a new Mary Sue soon enough that you will miss Khadgar.
i mean he was a strong white male leader.
he never stood a chance to survive in wow AD 2024
he is supposedly meant to end up in wheelchair.
although it might be just people in /4 trolling
oh, he will be the new X man guy
What I loved most about the Intro, was that it confirmed what Iâve been saying all along.
The Void Elves have the Powers of the void coursing through them, meaning they are ticking timebombs waiting to turn on us.
Just look at Aleria, supposedly the most experienced Void Elf, and Xalâatath easily abused the Void inside her to control and depower her.
Thanks for the warning so I donât have to buy this expansion. Iâm done. Hope there are some more REMIX coming for fun in the future. Iâm done with the retail lore massacre - this is just the extra nail in the coffin.
I wouldnât count on it, till the end of TWW⌠If theyâre even gonna do a Remix so soon again⌠So might have to wait till the end of Midnight even.
I have time to wait
Will spend more time irl doing stuff
Khadgar probably got teleported to the void world whatever its called and weâre gonna save him in a raid by fighting him and stopping him from turning into one of those bandages space people but he will return in a radiant echo form for the rest of his life .
Regarding Atiesh weâre probably gonna rebuild it for him/with him by collecting splinters of Atiesh again like original Naxx and it will look slightly different and thatâs how Blizzard adds it back to the game .
This story is so predictable itâs so dumb.

I think that Knaifu ate it along with Khadgar and Dalaran to get more power, so itâs unlikely that this stuff will appear.
Dalaran got what it deserved. If this so called city of âwise wizardsâ canât do a simple background check on the mage that was presumed dead years ago when they are hunting a shape changing void entity their little floating city deserved to go pop! I sussed him the second he appeared and i had to check the wiki to even see what he had achieved and when Khadgar said it was his idea to move the city and he handed me a quest to check the cities defences i was like âoh boy! here we goâ also remember back in WoD when Khadgar had the ability to teleport an entire group of people yet when faced with his own doom doesnât think to teleport himself as well.
Oh hey, another stupid dramatic death to kick of an expansion. Like they did with legion.
Fair enough, characters should die in stories, but blizzard somehow keep doing it in the least satisfying ways.
what was the name of that dead mage again?
Yea like, remember Tirion, of the absolute major characters? And the way he got killed in Legion? That was absolutely disgusting, and they keep doing it. But the worst part is that they offer completly 0 similar impact characters. New ones not only doensât have much proper background but also are terribly developed.
Blizzard killing off decent and well known characters to make up room for new ones.
Too bad new ones has no story background, they are usually freshly introduced and you forget them as soon as expansion is done.
Apart from the aspects and the NEâs i woulndât be able to name a single character in entire DF storyline.
