I don’t think Khadgar is dead, for the same cinema “rule”: if it doesn’t show you his death explicitly or his corpse, then he’s not dead. And we only saw his hand disappearing, so I’m more inclined to think he’s just been teleported, we will probably see him again in midnight.
Judging by the cinematic, my money is that khadgar is alive.
With that cinematography, showing how his hand got destroyed, seemed way more of a setup for him to return like a badass with 1 arm missing.
Again might be totally wrong, just got that setup from the cinematography.
Come to think of it the Arathi girl could be a foreshadowing of the prosthetic Khadgar will get!
I can hear him saying things like “Hero! I need a hand! Metaphorically speaking of course” already
I watched a few on wowhead and already she gives me a mix of Sylvanas + Jailer vibes.
I really dislike it as a character on a narrative design.
His death was more epic than Vol’jin’s death. So I’ll take it.
Also, 10/10 devs, the Dalaran quest really made me feel being under attack and etc.
lmfao I totally heard this in his voice.
Like the Jailer she just doesn’t have the aura that makes me think she can actually destroy the world like The Lich King or Guldan.
Feels more like an annoying side General.
She is just annoying, I really hate those characters with their smug “I 4D chessed you”
Atiesh 2.0 is definitely a priest weapon, no doubt in that.
Exactly and they didn’t even try. The guy is a freaking Guardian, one of the most powerful mages on Azeroth and they portrayed him as weak. not being able to do anything. Cause not only does a white male have to die, he also needs to be humiliated by a omnipotent stunning and brave female.
I cringed the hardest when they aknowledge his death and when Jaina says how they will mourn later or something.
And Thrall was like, me and Jaina will rally Horde and Alliance, as if the factions were some small tribes in a village and you just go in and rally them.
It really shows how the writers don’t care about integrity of the story, they destroy powerful characters, especially male ones, who are already established as powerful and convenietly forget that just so the main feminist woke plot can unfold.
No one and nothing previously established is important, just drag it into the mud and destroy everything that was good in order to tell this narcissistic woke story.
You’re brave for this post, I expected it to be hidden by the mods in an hour or two.
I don’t think he’s gone. He was sucked into the void, so we’ll probably see him again. Probably as a boss, and then we rescue him, and all will be well again.
Even if the cinematic could make you believe that he died I, personally, think Khadgar is not dead.
I was exactly thinking the same thing when I did the introduction quest. What is even more awkward is that my character is a Void elf and seemed unaffected
I think you need a few more full stops, paragraphs and to stop typing with your head.
thats because thats what social engeenering requires those companies to do in 2024
men must be portrayed as weak , pathetic and evil . women must be storng heroic and amazing.
im curious if anyone is able to chekc if SweetBaby inc etched deep into microsoft / blizz.
He’s probably dead. I think this is pretty much equivalent to the disenchantment of Gul’dan.
I could be wrong but… I think so.
And there seems to be a bit of a trope going on so far with a powerful father-like figure (I don’t think Khadgar has any sons or daughters, but we call him Dadgar for a reason) sacrificing himself on behalf of a new character.
I dunno if it happens again, but it happened twice in the first hour of the game.
I hope they get fresh material soon.
Wow, that’s what I absolutely had in mind while starting TWW. Was obvious which characters are gonna die, which are gonna lead soon, which are gonna be just side characters.
And it SOMEHOW works, male dalaran leader dies being weak as hell so now female is chasing big bad evil, male leader of earthen dies asap so female leader can take story forward and it goes again and again xD
Stop writing characters in the lazy SweetBaby inc style, start developing them properly and no one will say a word against any female leader like they didn’t before.
unless Trump wins in novemeber and start dealing with all that nothign will change.
I do not have an issue with stakes and consequences but they need to be balanced to be effective. I’m tired of male characters being the ones to be killed off and/or replaced.
Why are iconic, long standing male characters like Khadgar free to be eliminated but we’re stuck with all three Windrunner sisters two decades into the game’s existence?
I know why, mind you - that was a rhetorical question. Though ESG/DEI has proven immensely unpopular and the company would benefit from ditching it altogether. It doesn’t even appeal to those it claims to represent as it is little more than a subversive ideology conjured forth by those driven by spite.
