After the questchain (not shown on the video) Sylvanas says the following:
Xal’atath… a fascinating weapon. I have heard tales of its exploits. A pity it now lies dormant. But anything that slumbers can be awakened. This blade is more than a mere dagger. It is a torch that shall light our path forward.
I am sure this is extremely safe and will by no means backfire immensely /s

Scarlets can’t be shafted. They’re already at the bottom of the barrel.

Was also wondering exactly that. No doubt they will say it was down to just how gosh darn persuasive Old God influence is, and we just HAD to do what she said because it sounded great.
I swear to god if they Kerrigan Sylvanas I’m done. Just absolutely done. I cannot fathom how much they’d have to bend characters and plot just to make Sylvanas be a ‘misunderstood hero’ and suddenly everything she’s done be forgiven and it’s all k now.
I could get over her being exiled or something but a redemption arc would actually be the worst thing they could do for her.

That very Kerrigan ending made me quit Starcraft the instant I saw it, it would have been like trying to redeem the Reapers of Mass Effect

They very much have a point.
Biological life develops, it starts creating artifical life.
Artifical life rebels and the ensuring war threatens the universe.
So every once and awhile the reapers come along and stone age everyone.
How 2 predict Blizzard storywriting:
- Assume the obvious
- Assume the creatively most bankrupt choices
- Assume that continuity doesn’t exist (IE: Acts =/= Consequences).
- When Blizzard says “You’ll have to wait and see” it actually means “you’re correct”.

Grizzek’s got earrings that aren’t available to us good, non-traitor goblins. It’s made of the pieces of the same earrings and studs Jalbert’s got though.
Because she’s a hot knaifu that appeals to the projections of the story team, since Golden is leading by example by having Anduin as her boytoy.
I know it’s off-topic to discuss this but Mass Effect’s ending triggers me so much it nearly infuriates me as much as the already mentioned Kerrigan and SC2 story.
The Reapers goals are to “harvest” advanced civilisations so they don’t destroy themselves and the galaxies, by being eradicated by their own synthetics. This is flawed though.
First, you can make peace between the quarian and geth, but the reapers will still aim to destroy that galaxy. Second, and here’s the big one, they consider themselves the guardians of all natural life in the galaxies against the synthetics, but they themselves are synthetics going around wiping out natural life. They also(!!!) destroyed their own makers, the Leviathans
Sure, sure, sure. I can 100% respect and get behind waifus.
…but can they at least give us a pretense as to why the Champion of Azeroth, They Who Bears the Heart of a Titan, BFF of Magni and Slayer of Not One But Two Old Gods, are now helping out the old gods? Like we’re not even being tricked. We know exactly who/what Xalatath is going into it but we’re still like “hell yeah lets do it.”

We’re going to get a dialogue wheel in 8.1.x or 8.2. the options have absolutely zero relation to your character’s past actions.
