Wow…Do you work for Blizzard? That’s uncanny!
As a big G gamer, fantasy fan and tv tropes binger I regularly expose myself to staggering amounts of predictable, mediocre writing.
It wouldn’t at all surprise me if Sylvanas becomes an eternal hero of the Horde despite all the bad à la Grom for stopping Xal’atath reborn from finishing the corruption of Azeroth. Meanwhile, even Genn gruffly recognises the accomplishment to hammer home how sufficient heroism wipes away the questionable past. I am at least thrilled that blizzard’s writing has somewhat moved past 90’s antihero tropes of its old guard because that stuff’s just unbearable.
Honestly?
They’ve been hinting in that totally blatant crap way that Blizzard thinks, hinting is done. That the big bad of BFA is going to be an old god.
Assuming they are being honest and not just going Seige of Orgimmar 2: Electric Boogaloo, then Sylvanas is going to be walking around with an empty prison for old gods when the baddy is an old god…
Maybe we beat N’zoth but as he cannot ever truly die, we imprison him in the Xal’atath dagger with Sylvanas nobly taking on the burden of containing him by shoving the dagger into her forehead? I mean, catastrophic brain damage isn’t so much of an issue to the undead except for that time she got shot in the head.
At least N’Zoth is being voiced by Valkorion from SWTOR.
Your privilege is the dirt.
At this point I’m not gonna even blink if Blizzard reveals that the most powerful of the Void Lords is Amon.
You misspelled Gamon ha ha
Don’t give Blizzard ideas!
Honestly after playing through multiple class stories and the KotFE/KotET expansions…
I’d take more from SWTOR. Give us the MoP-era class design. Give us the ability to influence quest outcomes more regularly. I’d honestly say the expansions in particular (Bar the Hutts one) are decent RPGs in their own right.
More or less.
At least in SC the whole thing was that she wasn’t herself blah blah. Which while a weak sauce excuse for the terrible character arc, at least WAS an excuse. What the hell could they do with Sylvanas? Say she’d been corrupted by Old Gods since impaling herself on… Saronite…
Oh no
… Just so I’m not wrong. If Slyvanas has Xal’atath, was it the Horde PC who had a chat with an old god as canon? Is the quest Horde only basically. Pls enlighten.
I don’t know, all I know is that I’m not going anywhere near no giant tentacle monster, we know how that goes down.
in ten characters.
Love to know how Sylvanas sneaks into my fortified compound (garrison) and steals my knife-wife.
Seems a bit power-emotey to me.
Apparently you abandon the blade after the quest chain. Should take better care of your Old God Containment Devices tbh.
Talk about a completely out of character thing to do. Blizzard is basically as bad as trash-tier guard rpers now. Next they will be shooting my pregnant shaman.
In fairness it’s literally in the weapon’s lore that it randomly vanishes, it has it’s own desires and plans.
And so do I!
I’ve been cheated on by a knife.
She’s been cutting out hearts since prehistoric times, it’s nothing personal.
