I’m just hoping that Dark Iron Dwarves, Lightforged, Mechagnomes and mag’har will be sharing skin or other customisation options with their “parent” race.
Also, stupid question but why didn’t the void elves, Lightforged draenei, Dark Iron dwarves, mechagnome, Highmountain tauren and mag’har orcs get the death knight skins from their parent races anyway?
If that happened, they’d only have to make three skins for Kul Tiran, nightborne, zandalari troll and vulpera (so a total 12 skins opposed to 30 skins) death knights.
They want to add different and unique DK skins to the allied races in order to make the move more unique.
They were just lazy.
I hope they’ll still copy-paste the DK skins in the Shadowlands though. I want my white HM DK. Hopefully they’ll make the antlers more bone-white as well.
I mean I personally hope that reason why Allied Races didn’t get any new skin options was because they planned to release more customization to all races with Shadowlands so they rather postpone adding them til then.
I personally find it that they should scrap the whole ‘‘All core races now and Allied Races later’’ idea and just go forth and add customization to all races and add more customizations over the coming patches as well.
Gonna feel weird if Void Elves get such a massive boost in customization but no other Allied Race getting anything at all.
Isn’t the shadowlands much larger filled with far more realms of different sizes, I seem to recall that is a thing, and we are just stuck in 4-5 of those realms.
Meanwhile as we have seen those who go to these places are transforemd, Bastion makes you into an angel, Maldrax either makes you into parts or turn you into one of their own.
so even if they can just walk out of the realm and back to life, they may have long since lost their forms.
not to mention they would still be dead on our side.
Lastly I seem to recall they said every creature in the shadowlands is made of anima and killing them is just a handy way to harvest it.
don’t think of it as us killing things that are already dead, think of it as turning them into resources (which sounds way more grim, I know)
In the sky in Oribos you can see hundreds of gateways stretch into the horizon, each leading to a new plane of the Shadowlands. The four closest and largest gateways lead to the 4 Covenants we currently have available, but there’s countless realms and afterlives out there. Nothing’s been retconned.
Also we’ve had shaman contact the spirits of the dead for years now
So in other words.
Shadowlands does not necessarily cheapen or ruin the races afterlife, what they expect to see when they die can still be real.
we just now know there is a judge who decides where you go
I mean if you look at real life the ‘‘afterlives’’ we currently expect are based on Abrahamic religions, Greek, Egypting and Norse Mythology and the list goes on.
But death existed far before any of these civilizations so what we kinda ‘‘expect’’ the afterlife is may just be false.
That type of sense could make Bastion with Uther being a champion to be a major conflict point within the Church of Holy Light within the human society.
All in all I see more gain than loss from Shadowlands but I do understand the concern that others point out and we already know that Shadowlands as a realm is endless and there are far more ‘‘zones’’ than the ones we are visiting so we can leave stuff to imagination still.
while on the topic of afterlives, I wonder if they will explain how ghosts exist on azeroth.
are they just dead folk who didn’t get sent to shadowlands, in that case why?
