Correct me if I’m wrong, but I’m pretty sure back in vanilla and tbc u used to be able to use trinkets such as zandalari trinket and talisman at the same time?
Or mind quickening gem with the talisman for example.
You could in early Vanilla, it got “fixed” in one of the patches toward the end, and is fixed now in Classic. Most activatable trinkets will put others on mini-cooldown.

In TBC there are a lot of trinkets that proc. And these procs don’t trigger the mini cooldown afaik.
So you, as a caster, can for example use Quagmirran’s Eye:
Equip: Increases spell power by 37.
Equip: Your harmful spells have a chance to increase your spell haste rating by 320 for 6 secs.
And also equip Icon of the Silver Crescent:
Equip: Increases spell power by 44.
Use: Increases spell power by 158 for 20 sec. (2 min cooldown)
So you can activate the icon while you have the haste-buff from the other trinket.
