Started my first Death Knight... not sure if the lore is for me

it’s the carnage and mess they leave behind not the taste.

Carnage and mess left behind by nachos? How do you eat your nachos

This is how a Death Knight should be.

Haven’t you read my reply above? I addressed just that. DKs aren’t emotionless, it just needs more (a stronger trigger) to make them feel pain or joy. Plus, ther eis the Eternal Hunger, with which at least the old DKs are still “cursed”, which gives them the motivation to do something. They need to hurt / kill others, to satisfy that hunger.

It’s questionable if younger generations of DKs still are cursed with the Eternal Hunger, but I’d say yes, because it’s just a mechanic built into their resurrection process.

Sounds like a vampire’s lust for blood, kinda cool concept tbh! Just keal the evul people

Forgive my ignorance as i’m not deeply invested into lore
But, can bolvar be considered a deathknight ?
The dragons managed to breath some sort of fiery life into him basically saving him at the wrathgate.

Sure he wore the helm of domination, but unlike Arthas, he was in full control
And able to communicate, recognize and remember his family and Tirion etc…

Wait, so that means I am a DK irl sometimes?

Thats the good part of being a DK, you are miserable.

Exactly… in some way.

All undead races have a certain addiction:
Undead / Forsaken = need to eat living flesh
San’layn = need to drink blood
Death Knights = need to inflict pain

Wowpedia has him as “Highlord of the Ebon Blade” which I think would make him a Death Knight.
It has his Class as Paladin (formerly). I think a Paladin is a Knight and a dead former Paladin is a Death Knight, might have gotten there slightly differently and may even have different abilities but still it walks like a duck.

After his little stunt he pulled with the Deathlord of the Ebon Blade, blackmailing them “Hey, help me or I will unleash the undead” I would’t be suprised if Bolvar, after the loss of his fancy helmet would soon find himself at the end of a sharp (ebon) blade
…or the Red Dragons wouldn’t want a word or two with him after the Ruby Shrine :face_with_raised_eyebrow:
