Startup crash with PTR Client - macOS

In Development Cataclysm Classic 4.4.2 PTR

macOS version - 15.1.1 (24B91)
M3 Pro
Classic PTR version - 4.4.2.58723

  1. Opening game
  2. Photosensitivity info opens
  3. Game crash
  4. Battle.net client updates PTR without downloading and installing any content

i found a fix:

  • i did copy a fresh config.wtf from a windows ptr client folder into my wtf ordner

its working flawless now.

worked, thanks a lot! for all doing the same, don’t copy your files from org. data for interface stuff, it will break again!

You can uninstall PTR build and re-install it again. If that doesn’t work, then click gear icon on next to play button and chooose “Scan and repair”, that should scan the PTR client files and download original files.

Worked like magic. My ptr folder was missing the WTF folder, so I had to add it, but other than that, as soon as I added the config.wtf shared by guildie, it worked fine.

Having the same issue, and ofc I have uninstalled, repaired etc it still doesn’t work and I don’t have access to a windows PTR wtf file
