Still no SV S4 update?

I am starting to feel pretty downbeat about playing Surv as a main - why haven’t we had any tuning updates yet?? Logs are clearly showing us as being way far behind.

A yes the tuning soon its comming inclusive a full rework for the specc

They’ve probably forgotten we exist again.
At this point I think theyre done with S4 despite the mess its in (Still waiting on my black drake scales)
Hopefully we get some news about TWW soon, Pack Leader is still pretty much unplayable while priests have already had their Hero Talent tree fully reworked.

Monday has come and gone in the US with no tuning changes. Despite the promises of all sets being tuned to be viable this hasnt happened, Blood DKs are still using 2/2 and Survival Hunters are still using gear 30 item levels lower than available because whoever is in charge of tuning simply can’t be bothered to change it.
At this point I can only assume incompetence as a simple aura buff and a disabling of S3 could fix this.
Though no one will read this post anyway, as no one from Blizzard bothers to check EU forums.

People from Blizz read the forums of any region? If so, I imagine it would be to come and gloat over our frustrations.

Just tried to do small keys (5 and lower) for weekly bullion on my surv (491 ilvl, s3 4pc), and found, that mostly I was lack of AOE damage, ST was acceptable/decent, so where is the logic of voting for s1 set just to get small improvement of ST damage but totally disaster your AOE?

The logic was with the vote blizzard posted -

" Please keep in mind that we’re going to update the power of the set bonuses to match the increased power of the new gear in Season 4, so any bonuses you choose will be tuned to be as strong as any others."

They didn’t do this for several classes until last week and still haven’t done this for Survival & Blood.

Don’t blame the voters blame the devs for either being too lazy to fix stuff or not bothering for some other reason.
Alot of people prefer the playstyle of S1, especially raiders (I went with S2, which would probably have ended up just as bad) as ST matters much more with raids.

I agree with statement, that it’s fully blizzard failure to tune properly.
My hopium blizzard just waiting when most people will gear up, take stats from this, and after that make proper class tuning, (ofc no, instead of this they will do another patch with 30 min quest chain, and buff mages/rogues/priests.)

Most people have already geared up enough to show the problems with the S3 set, in the first week it was fine, but the 2nd week, when they fixed most of the other sets it was quite clear that we’d have to either lose a huge amount of DPS on single target & AoE, or stick with the old gear and lose out on a pretty large chunk of HP, on what is already quite a squishy class.

I think at this point theyre done with DF, most of the devs will be on TWW. (Hopefully fixing Pack Leader sometime soon? Maybe a full Hunter rework, MM certainly needs one and the SV tree is a mess)
Pandaria Remix comes out Thursday which I imagine a large part of the player base will move over to, Cata Classic has just come out. I think we’ll get nothing until prepatch now.

Not just a squishy class, a squishy spec. The very definition of a dancing monkey in all game modes. Exact same defensives as someone who’s expected to stay at 40+ yards (MM does have mastery for extra range, let’s not talk about Sniper Shot and the 10 sec buff).
Just save your sanity and main something else for the remainder of this xpac and perhaps the next two.

Ahh. I can only talk from a PvE perspective, where ranged vs melee doesnt make too much of a difference other than getting instantly slapped by spitefuls. I gave up on PVP in Legion.

And you’re right I hadnt considered how much losing out that 200k and big chunk of vers matters in PvP, arguably much more than PvE.

Also on the US Wow forum there are many complains but Blizzard is just ignoring it somehow. It makes no sense really.
I just do one weekly +10 on survival hunter and for the rest I did completely abandon my hunter. RIP rare unicorn survival hunter.

Another week, still no changes or even feedback. I would have said everyones onto Remix, but thats such a mess too.

You can look into every difficulty and phrase % SV is dead last (consider that Sub rogue got a bugg that doesnt show 10-15%of his damage, and eaven then sv is behind sub)

So a +20% damage buff is needet too be middle of the pack, looks like we dont have a set boni at all

True… even in raid, where the players voting for this tier set though it would shine, the numbers are terrible. When you look at m+ it is even more depressing.

On a YToube vid (supertease) he read a bluepost for TWW where Blizzard aim for removing extra range for meele speccs

Sv got there extra range 3y from the Talent Lunge, where autohits reduce Wildfire bombs and you got extra range

So we could be lucky and since Dev dont look at Hunter at all we can keep this, ngl i love the extra range and playing without it would feel terrible bad

Wait, does anyone else have 8 yard melee range? Cuz I have warrior and dk, so was thinking that 8 yards it’s just hunter feature :smiley:

Rogue every 3 specc have it in the rogue tree some extra yard range

This spec has always been broken in PVE I understand. Hasn’t this been a PVP spec since the beginning? Think Blizzard should give survival dual weapons to spice things up a bit.
