If you happen to see me killing mobs or questing in a particular area I expect you to treat me with the respect I deserve and stop tagging MY mobs!
Seriously - just stop it!
I’m in that zone for a reason, and by tagging mobs that should rightly belong to me you are not only slowing me down, but also inconveniencing me to quite a large extent.
What I’d ask is that you simply wait until I’m done, or have obviously finished whatever tasks I have in that region and then send me a whisper, asking permission to tag some of the mobs for yourself. If I agree then go ahead, and start killing them yourself; otherwise leave well alone.
Similarly herbs, ore nodes etc. exist for MY benefit. If I see one it belongs to me, so stop damned stealing it!

I think the problem may be that you are incognito playing Classic, If i see a Troll Shaman called Grupp then of course i would leave them be, but I had heard a rumour you might be on the Alliance side of things and look very different, which makes it difficult to give you the respect you deserve.

People like him are the reason retail is in its current state.
Classes bland.
Gameplay bland.
Server communities destroyed.
Professions gutted.
PvP abandoned and gear vendors removed because they were too hard to find waahhh.
I’m not sure if I want to open that can of worms… but, I’ll do it anyway.
The gaming system of Classic is first come , first served. The first that attacks the mobs will receive the loot, and there is competition.
Because people are annoyed, this system was removed in Retail and replaced by a shared resource system, where everyone who attacks the mobs will receive loot. No matter if another one attacks them before you, your loot won’t get stolen.
Both systems have pluses and minuses, and occasionally I’m very annoyed by the first one.
But if you don’t enjoy first come-first served system, why do you play Vanilla then? Maybe you should stick to retail.
And people like you are the reason forum trolls live. You just keep feeding them

The sarcasm is strong with this one! Alas I have had whispers on a few chars from others demanding me to stop farming stuff as they want to farm it themselves. Gotta love that sense of entitlement.

Also, im one of those people who if I see a horde coming to get my mining node, I bubble then mine it (ikr, instead of using hearthstone!!!)
It sounds like he met someone that demanded that exact thing…
happened to me a few times, got whispers that i should leave because he was there first, and when i argued that i was actually questing there and he was just farming since he was max lvl he put me on ignore …
I was not even rude to him… simply amazing

To be fair, it’s not obvious. I’m not even 100% sure it’s sarcasm as I encountered this behavior in-game.
Probably the fella got some whispers like this in game and then he came to the forums to make a sarcastic post about it.
And people took it as real.
