RestedXP is a paid for addon.
As per Blizzard rules addons should be free.
It sat in a grey area but realistically it was against the rules.
Why would people pay for these addons? It makes leveling easier or what?
It’s heavily promoted by a lot of content creators. So those audiences feel it’s a worthwhile thing to do without maybe understanding what’s happening

I like to play the game the way it was made to be played - without add-ons.
When I was in a group I was asked to use Questie so that other players can see when I finish the requirements for a quest. And it made Classic like retail - showing you on map exactly where you have to go.
So we can understand than Blizzard gonna ban all those people that was using This addon illegal ? Or fck the rules?
RestedXP is a paid addon that tells you how to level the fastest - which to go, which to quest accept, and how to move between zones. Way more advanced than a simple quest helper like Questie.
Paid addons are against Blizzard ToS but the addon itself isn’t paid, just support for like levels 20+ 
So it’s a gray zone…
Alexsensual is a black sheep among Classic and private servers. Sociopath, mental problems… but he likes to sniff dirty money. He exposed some pserver practices and now tries to expose WoW Classic content creators and Blizzard devs doing shady things. Is it fully true? Probably not at this point, but we shall see where it will go from here…
…and the problem is Kargoz and friends made a company and are heavily advertising RXP to get the sales and allegedly the sales are huge 
They are making solid money. Then there are HC rules and some other activities related to them and the reason why WoTLK doesn’t have the WoTLK quest helper is to boost RXP sales (allegedly).
HC announcement was also made on a stream of the RXP people and the dev also streamed his gameplay with the addon AFAIK so Alex is suspecting some behind-the-scenes money or other benefits between RXP and selected Classic devs.
So upcoming HC servers and then the Seasonal servers can get a lot of commercial services from RXP team. They already have preorder for HC. $_$
Surefire way to self-check if you’re a complete loser in life:
so what about weakaura, zygor and TSM? they do the same thing. its absoluty fine. people share their knowledge and spending houndreds of hours coding the guide. just dont buy it if you cant effort it or a getting mad about a faster leveling route for whatever reason

The worst thing at all is that all RestedXP and HC backstage is run in order to make profitable a business around nostalgia.

… RestedXP is not breaking any Blizzard ToS or rule.
They provide for free an addOn that works with paid external resources.
… Hardcore was a game mode large time ago … born from the Inmortal challenge.
The worst of all is that they want to control how the WoW Classic scenario is developed, maintained and monetize. The want to control sponsors, events, streams and so on, so they make out the most profits available. Wtf, they even want to control HC severs?
C’mon Blizzard …

No. The addon is not allowed but too small too hunt. The man who got fake hairs from uk promoted it a few years ago but RXP is promoted by nearly everyone.
If your goal is money to work on an addon, just stop. You are free to share your ingame tools with everyone you like, but if you show your code to the public to make them buy it, its wrong. Its against tos.
