Can I send the right armour type to my alt?

What I mean by this for example is, I am getting the rep on my shaman with Old Hillpaw.
I understand he sends you a cloth untransmogable one. But you can buy a transmog one at Gina Mudclaw when this happens.
I was wondering, can I buy one for each armour type and send them to my alts or do I need to unlock on each charcter?

I basically want one for my warrior. Do I need to get best friends with him as well to unlock or can my shaman send him one?

Nope, they are bind on pickup. That means they become souldbound as soon as you buy them. And you can’t send souldbound items.

I just unlocked and found out. Ty for getting back though. I guess on the plus side took me like 3 - 4 hours to get best friends. So easily obtainable again.
