You never join a queue if you cheat and never log out. That’s how this guy got “priority”.
I dont think for one minute this is true… except maybe when streamers at at launch events… but even if it was… they are free advertising for blizzard… it would absolutely make sense for them to do it. Asmon has 100k viewers sometimes… his 8.99 he pays and brings in 100k more 8.99 is absolutely more important than yours or mine 8.99 subscription… No different than giving celebrities free tickets to events or free goods to promote there wares. The publicity from streamers saves blizzard a fortune in advertising.
Wouldn’t surprise me if such a thing existed, I have not check at all so either way i can’t say.
But thats pretty much how it works in any business. More important customers get better treatment, priories or “VIP” so to say.
Though it is also worth remembering that there are other ways to get help. Pay a pal to keep you logged in through the night or whatnot. One would be silly to think that large or popular streamers or content creators do everything by themself.
Also to the other one wondering, if they havn’t changed real ID radically, there are ways to make you look offline for everyone else even though you are not.
Something I myself have done many times in the past when i dont wanna be bothered by people.
edit: NVM, i forgot they actually added the “appear as offline” for real ID, so you know, you can appear offline by the click of a button.
Maybe the money that is being saved by blizzard by their streamer cronies (who btw are all online and live and playing) could now be withdrawn and actually injected into making the servers allow more people in?
Bro you can make yourself appear as offline on the blizzapp, he prolly just set his status to online again, he prolly never logged off the actual game, just changed his status on the launcher.
Hope your queue ends sooner than later.
Peace
that is a possibility indeed.
turn offline and dodge logging out somehow.
arent these things against the rules to stop the forced logout?
we should start reporting as a community, and blizz should probly add a fast function to report this ingame.
same for the “have a friend keep you logged in” isnt this all against the rules?
this should go for streamers and non-streamers really.
bending the rules for a few individuals isnt that the start of tossing the rules out of the window since you dont even keep yourself to your own policys…
the 2-3 hours i managed to play ive seen like 20+ players wall running/jumping/occasionaly casting novas in the xroads inn.
better to have players online that actually play then to build a queue because of a server full of inactive players right.
thanks for the response tho, upvoted.
Guy sets his login to hidden, pretends he logged out, no one can see him online. He uses a cheat to stay logged in though the whole time.
Comes to his PC, turns his status to online, people see him go “ping online” ingame.
Must be Blizzard friendship magic.
Well like I said this is probably the most logical explanation.
As you stated the actual problem is botting to stay logged in.
As to a solution, I can’t really chip in because I haven’t got the slightest idea on how servers etc work.
Again, have a good one.
But that’s false advertising and it is against the law.
OK we get it you dont like the guy. But still, he waited in queue like the rest of us peasants.
I stream and don’t get priorities it doesn’t matter to me.
You guys pay 8,99$???
IN Germany the monthly cost is 12,99€ = 14,40$
And 11,99€ the cheapest one 13,29$
i never said i dont like the guy? hes on my friend list…
i was only pointing out that wer all equall and we all want to play,
most of these streamers had priority into the beta over “normal” players already.
if this is the case about setting yourself to offline and keep yourself logged in due to another method, then id say these should be banned for a week and the proper players with a job etc can atleast play and enjoy this classic launch .
anyhow, a function to report such behavoir ingame would be appriciated and a community reporting such behavoir aswell.
remember that because of these methods your just another duck sitting in the waiting queue while there MIGHT be actuall access to the game if all these dodgers are not in the game.
Streamers account are tagged, they get instant pop from now on.
But that is my theory, not a fact. Cause i saw a streamer logout from a very popular US realm and rejoin instantly later on.
Streamers do not get priority in the Login queue. This is a complete myth that has no basis in fact. If you’ve been watching the Method stream, several people were booted from their server at a few points during this running, and lots of them ended up in 5k+ queues.
Even Asmon got booted and ended up in a queue with over 10k people in it.
I wouldn’t even expect them to give Asmon priority queue since all he does it complain about the game and Blizzard knows what he says is true.
However, it could just be Sodapoppin winding people up but he let slip on stream that he has priority queue. Whether this is true or not is another thing.
He has been consistently pulling the most viewers in the WoW section on Twitch. If Blizzard were really sleazy enough to flag a Streamer’s account for priority, I don’t think they would be phased by Asmongold’s toxic behavior especially given the number of eyes he puts on this game.
Oh that msg was not directed towards you, might have replied wrong,
It was to the guy saying Asmongold snorting cocain…
I do think they will be phased by his toxicity. What value has he been brining to the game for the last three years? Nothing. If anything he has been talking people into avoiding Retail for years. He has had a massive audience for the last year and all he has done is moan about the game, and he has a right to. Retail is in a poor state. Blizzard would never flag his account for priority queue for Classic regardless of him bringing in 350k viewers at peak. He does nothing for Blizzard long-term.
What proof other than you saw him come online on your bnet friends? (You do know you can hide right? Top right on launcher, click on your name -> Appear offline.)
