Honestly i think blizzard do not want asmongold to be the face of wow, they probably might want someone else but this is all my hypothesis and do not take it as a fact.
Asmongold is a celebrity, i mean if trump came to a nearby popeyes to taste the new chicken burger, he would probably be allowed to skip the queue due to his stats.
I mean there is three powers within wow, ( J allen, Ion hazzikostas and Asmongold).
So lets assume you saw what you saw. Ever thought of: them putting ‘appear offline’ on when they are in the queue or not streaming?
If there was a streamer priority you would have heard about it already and seen the smoke coming from the forums that would be on fire. 
Cool story, but still only your word for it against actual streams with them complaining about queues.
