Stuck at renown 16

Heey, im stuck at renown 16, and there is no way to get to 17 to complete the story and get my renown coin to go 18. I didnt complete my anima quest from last week, where I ended at renown 14. So I turned in that quest on reset day, and got from 14 - 15 with that quest (wich is actually needed to get from 15-16, and then u use the souls quest to get from 16-17 where u can complete the storyline to go to 18)
Pretty sure this is not intended, but its kinda annoying since im not eligible for the catchup mechanic because im ‘‘on schedule’’

Hey Rooie,

Doing other Shadowlands’ content can give you Renown as part of the catch up mechanism. Callings are a good example which you would have 2-4 more before reset.

I’ve got the same problem. Did all my callings this week already, still stuck at renown 16. This “catch up system” sucks.

No it doesnt, done all the callings/pvp weekly’s as well as the weeky timewalking quests and im still stuck at 16. Read my message again, I’m supposed to be on schdule, and cuz im renown 16 im not eligible for the catchup mechanic.

The weekly anima quest + the souls quest are supposed to get you to renown 17 so you can start with your campaign again. But because I used the weekly renown quest to get to 15, and the souls quest to get to 16, I cant get to 17 since im in the weekly 3 levels and not eligible for the catchup. Multiple people post this problem on a daily basis. Its not that we dont read and dont do our daily’s, its broken and hella annoying.

Until you at the current reset’s cap, you are in catch up mechanism and the week doesn’t end until next Wednesday. Renown can come from Callings, which you have 2-4 left this week, and from dungeon bosses as a direct drop. There are quite a few other ways as well.

I did raidbosses, I did mythic 0’s and I did ALL the callings, it isnt working, pleaaaaaaase read what I type
Also did arena and battlgrounds, but no renown coins
I even linked a screenshot of my questlog, and as u can see there are no callings

Hello there!
Same thing happens to me as well because i changed covenants. I started by doing the reservoir quest and the maw souls weekly and then got drops from dungeons and campaign untill i got to renown 16. Then everything stoped for 2 days now , no renown from callings , m+ ,raids.

Ye same, for me it stopped since wednesday on my monk, and since then I did all daily’s and weekly’s and no renown

same problem here, did all mythics, timewalking, all callings, the raid > hard stuck at 16

I’d like to add to this with the same problem. Changed covenants this week, catch-up system worked great until renown 16 and then nothing, ran about 20 heroics, 8 mythics, there’s no more renown drops.

Considering there’s a ton of people with the same issue it’s definitely a bug. Was able to catch up to 15 on my alt last week with no issues but seems impossible to get back to 18 this week with a covenant swap.

Blizz accidentally set the catch-up cap to 16?

I think we got semi locked in 16. Because when i changed covenants i firstly did the weekly quests instead of farming renown in dungeons. If blizz does not fix this issue for this week we may have to start next week with doing a renown calling and THEN do our weekly / campaign quest to not forever be behind. Sad times but yea :confused:

Stuck also on Renown 16. Since i hit 16 i was:
Full clear Castle Nathria Nhc
6 Mythic Dungeons
4Mythic+ (+2 +9 +10 +11)
All Callings every Day
i guess 5 Heroic Dungeons (not 100% sure about the number)
1 Heroic Boss in Castle Nathria
2 Battlegrounds (win 2/2 if you need to win to get renown)
a few thorgast runs but i don’t know if they can drop renown
I hit 16 with both of my Weekly’s (1000Anima + 10 Souls from the Maw)
I guess its like Bloodybaron says, we are semi locked on 16, because we had catch up till 15, then we should do weekly stuff, but we don’t :smiley:
Should be good next id if we do catch up first (hopefully)

Same story, stuck at 16:

10-12 normal dungeons
12-15 heroics
3 battlegrounds (granted they were loses, so I guess they don’t really count),
all available callings as soon as possible
5 solo Torghast (max level 4 though)

Side note, last week I had a different character trying to catch up to 15, I got that after 2 normal dungeons.

Same for me with 2 Chars.

Both stuck at Renown 16 and i did a lot of Stuff with both of them - Callings, WQ, Dungeons, M+ , BG, Torghast

Getting to 16 with my newest alt was pretty fast but now he and my hunter alt are both stuck.

I’ve done Callings, M+, Raid, Arenas, but still stuck at renown 16

This is not entirely true, sometimes a calling gives you renown sometimes

I switched from night fae to kyrian on my monk 4-5 days ago and only one calling since has given me renown, the catch up is questionable at best.

I have discovered that you have to:

  • rescue souls from the maw
  • replenish the reservoir

then 1-2 callings, you got it, but without those two weeklies, no progress :wink:

What a fantastic discovery, you discovered the normal way to get renown… Not the catch up.

I think the catchup system is perhaps not working. I joined my covenent the kyrian at the same time my partner joined the Night fae.

I am on renown rank 11. My partner has had a renown reward every day for her calling quest for the last 3 days on night fae.

for the same three days I have had the blue chest reward but no renown. That isn’t a random system that’s broken?
