Age of account? Out of my bnet friends 2 are on and they have youngish accounts like 2 years and the rest who have played for a while are locked out?

nah age of account has nothing to do with server authentication.
it no longer stucks on character screen. it says “you are disconnected” now. i think they’ve started working on it
My friend who can log has an account that is about 10 years old.
Vanilla account here…so yeah…old

for me its still stuck on retrieving character list

If you had it open for a while without doing anything it will automatically disconnected you, did that for ages if not from the start of WoW. Has nothing to do with them fixing anything or not.
If you close and reopen youll see youre back stuck at retrieving character

Deleting Cache, WTF, Interface/Addons folders, using Reset In-Game Options and Scan and Repair doesn’t seem to do anything.
i was just able to access realm list. i even managed to enter character creation screen via the remix button in bottom right. just couldn’t create a char.
This is happening to me as well. Started immediately after the emergency maintenance at 3:00 AM last night. I was first able to log in at about 3:30 AM, but it seemed to skip past the authentication steps that normally happens and just go straight to trying to retrieve characters. It’s been stuck there ever since.
What did you do, since the issue isnt fixed for anyone else?

Not sure what’s more infuriating, not getting passed retrieving character, or the fact only one reply from an actual moderator, and that wasn’t helpful.
No announcements from bliz is kind of a **** take really.
