Stuck with "Fading Into Twilight" (Known Bug, SOLVED)

Hello,

I’m unfortunatelly forced to write here also, as after 3 tickets (1 is still open) none was able to help me. I followed all the suggestion given, but no results.

First ticket: Suggested me to reset my interface (are you really giving this type of a suggestion to a player that plays this game since 2004 ?) and to find a follow-up quest outside of Twilight Highlands (when all the quests, even in Stormwind, have alredy been done).

Second ticket: Suggested me to find my followup in a quest named “Paving the way” (in Twilight Highlands, lol) that is not offered to me by the NPC (for the same reason I’ll explain in the next lines)

Third ticket: Still open, and even if i took the time to read everything on wowhead, take screenshots, giving suggestions in the ticket and do everything i could, I’m still stucked there.

So,

Trying to finish my Loremaster, I’m actually 104/136 quests done in the Twilight Highlands area. Unfortunatelly, there is no more quest I can do to go on, even in Stormwind, and even in the upper part of the map hidden inside “the Maw”.

I’m supposed to follow-up with a quest named “If the key fits” (https://www.wowhead.com/quest=28108/if-the-key-fits#comments), but it is not offered to me.

In fact, Matthias Shaw and even the Highbank Lieutenant are not offering me any quest. As other Game Masters did to other players in this case in the past (as written in the wowhead link I posted), is to manually add to my Journal the quest “If the key fits”, this bug happens unfortunatelly to characters that faction-changed in a specific period in the past, and that’s probably the case.

In fact i can talk to Matthias Shaw, and basically do all the steps needed for that quest ( spawning the npcs team, following the npcs, breaking with bombs the wall, and bring 'em to Grim Batol), but as I dont have the quest in my Journal I can’t phisically finish it.

I’ve also added screenshots to the ticket, hope someone is now checking them properly :frowning:

Hope to have an answer soon, Ive alredy lost 4 days stuck on this, and this is so frustrating!

UPDATE (1):
So, instead of giving me some sort of help, from the Customer Support you guys just moved my post from “Technical Support” area to “Quests and achievements” area (where, tipically, none get any type of answer) ?

UPDATE (2):
Today an “Angel” called GM Kharimin/Oliver that took care of my third ticket in standby, insta-solved my issue by manually correcting what the npc Matthias Shaw was offering to me (as I had alredy suggested in the first 2 tickets!), and I was so able to get the 2 quests “If the key fits” and “Paving The Way” that I was stucked at.
I really want to thank him, I wish there will be more professional GM like him at Blizzard, that took the time to read all the details I gave and with his experience to solve my issue!

Oof, that’s annoying :confused:
I’m not entirely sure if wowhead shows me your profiler as 100% up-to-date, but from what I can see you are still missing “Paving the Way” of that chain. Still weird though, as you mentioned that you checked with the HIghbank Lieutenant, who would offer you that quest, so not sure if that actually helps any further.

If this is going nowhere, and you’re stuck and don’t wanna wait much longer, what you could try is do the whole zone again on an alt. The sub-achievements for the Loremaster are account-wide, so if this character is stuck, maybe it would be quicker to try again on another character?
Fully aware this is also not really the best solution, since I know that chain is pretty deep into the zone story, so you’d have to re-do quite a lot of quests.

Those are the only two things I can come up with as solutions here, so sorry if the above doesn’t help. Good luck!

Unfortunatelly, as written, both the quest “If the key fits” and “Paving th way” are not offered to me by the NPCs.

I honestly don’t know why, as the GM suggested me to do them and as i CAN’T get them, they just don’t add them manually to my Quests Journal as they did for other players in the past so that I can go on with my achievement.

I’m really frustrated :frowning:

there seems to be a MASSIVE disconnect in the quality of gms these days. the first ticket is usually useless because i fully believe it is ALWAYS an auto reply that hasn’t even read your ticket. just the usual “delete cache and wtf files and turn off add ons”.

then its hit or miss if you get a bad, normal or good gm. and i’d say in my own experience, good gms are about 10%, normal, maybe 20-30% but bad gms seem to be about 60-70% :frowning:

they need a serious overhaul of their gm’s, and the knowledge available for them to scan through for fixes.
hope you got your questline finished after the good gms fix.
