That is not the same thing. Maybe you made the choice to be in that situation. But to come from poorer counties around the world is not those people’s fault
Believe me I’d rather be working how I was before the “stay at home” thing happened. My work has dropped off.
It’s not but I don’t see why you are only seeing it from one side? No everyone in other countries is on €12 an hour or live with their parents so have a lot of spare money.
It can’t be means tested. This has been discussed before and making the game cheaper in some countries is unfair to people, so they make it the same price for everyone, not a percentage of your income.
That’s a pretty lame argument if I do say so. You are on a minimum 80% of your wage. Exclude travel, lunches etc and quite probably you are better off like most people I know.
Then you should factor in the currency and the strength of it. As an example, in the Uk, we pay what? £9.99 per month for the “privilege” of playing this game and having to farm our backside off? That’s the minimal living wage in some parts of the UK where as in other countries for them to earn the equivalent, that could be almost a weeks work!
Show some appreciation in the fact that you are still being paid a wage, thanks to people like me paying higher tax! Other people in other countries, are not so fortunate!
Companies around the world, went out of their way to help their customers during this pandemic but what did Blizzard do? Took advantage and kept the prices at normal, as you’d expect from them!
As an EU national or resident you can’t be charged a higher price when buying products or services in the EU just because of your nationality or country of residence.
When you buy goods online in the EU, prices may vary from country to country or across different versions of the same website, for example due to differences in delivery costs. However, if you buy goods online without cross-border delivery – such as when you buy something online which you intend to collect from a trader or shop yourself – you should have access to the same prices and special offers as buyers living in that EU country. You cannot be charged more or prevented from buying something just because you live in another country.
The price of services, electronics, etc. is the same across the entire EU which means citizens of poorer countries get ripped off as always.
The fact that they serve customers outside the EU is a glitch more than anything else. Customers outside the EU are for practical purposes still buying inside the EU and price “discrimination” (i.e. fairness) is illegal.
So what do you propose? I pay more because I’m not living in the Russian Federation? And what else? Should we pay more for food, transportation, housing, more taxes? While working the same amount of time as you? How is this fair?
You are NOT paying more, you are paying the same as the rest of us.
That might be a higher percentage of your disposable income, but thats due to your local countries economy and is not our fault. As its not our fault, we should not be punished by having to subsidized your subscription.
